Talk about bad omens. As the Dragons fight for their first win of the season, their merchandise truck has crashed during the drive to their home base Wollongong.

Development of talent from juniors to NRL level is our biggest issue.

If Twidle has 3 clubs circling already what does that tell you. He has ability.

Yet we continue to sign players like Joash - whilst better than the likes of Zac Cini et al, he is too small and not fast enough to make it as an NRL player.

I agree we don't know what Twidle's best position is (just like Blaize Talagi) but this is because we keep shuffling players around in the junior grades.
Twiddles best position without any shadow of a doubt is fullback.
He would be exposed badly in defence at 5/8.
At least at the back he would hopefully not have to make too many tackles but can chime into the attack with his silky feet and elusiveness..

Somehow the thinking in the front office is that you don’t need to pay overs to get players like Perdue, shows how out of the market our thinking can be as a club. You pay for what players can bring, don’t think it’s that difficult and adjust the back end of the cap and second tier.

Cant believe between Ball and Flegg we dont have a fleet footed speedster capable of the same...

Every week I just watch players that would walk into our squad. It’s depressing. We have a bludger of a team.

So why did no other club sign him?

We have in Ball, don’t seem we as a club promote youth as quickly as say the Raiders.
When we've had players with NRL potential we did promote them quickly, whether they were ready or not:

PlayerAge on debut
Kaufusi19
Salmon19
Brown19
Arthur18
Loizou18
Penisini19
Russell19
Arthur19
Guymer19
Talagi19

We will no doubt continue to do so, if our current lot of teenagers do indeed have NRL potential. Bloomfield looks the goods.

Guymer as an example played 19 games in CUP (3 in the year they won SG ball) before his NRL debut.

Russell played 12 games in cup in 21 before his NRL debut

As for @Delboy's assertion that we don't promote as quickly as the Raiders, in the same time period, the Raiders have debuted 5 teenagers (Cotric, Cook, Savage, Strange and Stewart) compared to our 10.
