Please stick to the thread topic - "Tigers... the Reality" There is another thread called "The Pride of the League" where you can discuss South's.

Didn't you link this article in the Rabbitohs thread?

Tigers close to collapse

Heath Gilmore | April 6, 2008

Kinda contradicts what you've just said.
Let it be a free for all and don't get pedantic about where something is posted!

we passed new wave, stadium rock, grunge, nu metal and now in the age of emo.
all these styles of music have come and gone, and still not a semi final victory for the pride of the league.

watch that video to see how dated it is, how relevent it is to today.
that's still closer to being relevent than the pride of the league.

tigers, the last nsw based NRL premiers.

I have never been banned for anything I said about other teams or their fans, and I know that you will not be able to prove that.

You'd do well to check your facts first before coming on here sprouting bullsh*t.

I don't think 2005 Tigers were Bradburys. They just hit really good form at the right time and people didn't expect it to happen. I know cause it happened straight after the Broncos beat them later on in the season. Then they got their revenge and smashed us out of the finals.

Broncos 2006 was Bradbury like. Souths won't do a Bradbury this year either.

You have just proved my point. Balmain is in strife, but Wests prop you up. If the Magpies had half a brain, they would go it alone again and cut the Tigers loose, ala the Sea Eagles and the Bears. If it wasn't for the Campbelltown crutch, the Tigers wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Actually that is not the case. As per the joint venture arrangement both clubs have been making their contributions every year to the Wests Tigers.

The rest is made by the Wests Tigers through sponsorship, tickets, merchandise etc etc. and as such it is in a very solid financial position currently

It was entirely to do with comments I made in the FFB, back in December 2004 I might add.

Hmm, I seem to recall you getting wound up by souths fans in a thread you created, I think iirc in the souths forum, and you repeatedly ignored requests to cease. Long time ago though.

But hey, if we cant prove it............

souths would require the Rapture for them to pull off a bradburry

Western Suburbs Magpies (1908-1999)
* 4 premierships (last one 56 years ago in 1952)
*17 Spoons
* Vs Souths 71wins 106 losses

Balmain Tigers (1908-1999)
* 11 premierships (last one 30 years ago, 1 comp in 51 years)
*4 Spoons
* Vs Souths 80wins 95 losses

Yep, Western Suburbs only 4 premierships…but I rejoice in the fact that 2 of those ruined Souths winning runs and Balmain ruined the other…hahahahahahahahaha

1908 1909 1914 1918 1925 1926 1927 1928 1929 :lol: 1931

The simple fact about 2005 is that the Tigers were in the top 4 and then flogged the Cowboys week 1, beat the Broncos and the Dragons who were 3rd and 2nd.

In reality if the Cowboys would have won that would be more like a Bradbury after the caning the Tigers gave them.

I just wish the Eels wouldn't have given it up to the Cowboys because the Tigers-Eels Grandfinal would have been a belter.

LMFAO, thanks for showing us how you ruined our runs of 8 in a row, 6 in a row and 5 in a row. :lol:

So, the last 107 combined seasons of the Magpies and Tigers = 1 Premiership.

f**k, you can throw the Bradbury in as well, so 2 Premierships in 114 combined seasons.

Massive.

*yawn* haven't you guys got anything better to do. There's two many stats in which one is better than the other, not only that, you can say the same things to just about every other club. South's were the champions once, not anymore, one day they will return to their best, Tigers won the premiership fair and square, if their opposition fell at the last hurdle, they clearly were not deserving to win the damn thing in the first place.

When my team plays South's, I don't care what either team has done in the past, as long as my team comes out trumps on that particular game day, hence giving me the bragging rights until the next game, were those rights may be lost.

You guys are going to give yourselves heart attacks.

Why would a souffs supporter start up a thread like that ?

souffs are probably going to be one step closer to breaking Wests Magpies record of 17 wooden spoons.

The only reason a few pathetic souls follow souffs as a second team is because they feel sorry for them.

Correct me if I am wrong, I think one of your premierships is because the opposing team boycotted the grand final. Wow thats something to be proud of.

Finally, in my lifetime, I will remember souffs as the biggest losers of my generation of Rugby League.

Goodbye.

LOL comparing your finals appearance last year to ours in 2005.

Heres a quick few FACTS for you:

* FACT: Wests Tigers have never lost a semi final

* FACT: The 2005 Wests Tigers have the greatest for and against EVER for a team in a finals series, so really our 2005 team was the most dominant Premiers of all time. South Sydney in 100 years couldnt achieve what we did in 6.

* FACT: South Sydney NEVER beat Balmain in Grand Final

* FACT: We actually lead you 8-5 in the head to head, you guys forfeited in 2000 and 2001

* FACT: The Wests Tigers are a financially viable rugby league club and dont need as big a leagues club grant as ANY other Sydney club. We didnt have to sell our club for $3million :lol: (which is pathetic considering St.George Illawarra sold 25% of their club for $7million)

* FACT: Souths suck
