Come back with that comment when every Sydney club is making a profit & isn't holding the game back by keeping the salary cap to f*ck all

sydney does have too many teams
21,000 is nothing great
however, it'd be good if there'd be crowds like that every week in Syd
Wow.
A whole 21k
Rugby League is going great.....
f**k sake, we should not be happy with 21k!!!!
so canberra, warriors and storm crowds should be ignored eh?
what was the cowboys crowd on friday night dopey?
yes, once the crowd is 22,000 then it becomes great
To tell you the truth I was quite impressed by Canberra's crowd today considering the conditions.
Warriors and Storm are expansion teams & their crowds could be increased if the NRL worked to help them (I know this isn't going to happen).
It'll be interesting to see how Melbourne's crowds change when they get a half decent ground though
It was the Cowboys' 11th loss in a row, I'm surprised anyone turned up!
Friday night is crap for Cowboys games as it stops all the regional fans (& there's a lot of them) from attending.

They get 80000 for the grand final too and thats played in Sydney. Thats bigger than any crowd the expansion teams ever get. Maybe there should be more teams in Sydney because of this?
if sydney teams are getting better crowds than melbourne, warriors and the raiders, then its not the sydney teams holding things back but these ones isnt it.
so the whole idea of saying there are too many sydney teams is dumb if people are basing it on crowds.
which they are.
It's not just crowds, but sponsorship & general revenue
Brissy made $24 million last year, Titans are predicting $22 million this year. Meanwhile no team in NSW made a profit last year, that's a problem no matter how you look at it.
With proper management & membership drives maybe the Sydney clubs will all survive, though it'd be good for one to move the the Central Coast.
