I was under the impression that they didn't have to make it public until the list was wittled down to the actual 25 (?) man squads...

Woop-de-doo!

Lets count how many players get picked in more than one preliminary squad. I reckon there will be half a dozen.

Bloody Aussies stealing Irish players now.

Decent Australian side, only questionable selections would be Carl Webb, cutie and Luke O'Donnell

Great to see Michael Jennings listed. Very surprised Luke Lewis didn't make it. I couldn't have seen him playing in the final squad, but he is in great form and better then almost half of that list.

Jennings is a great young player. But I'd much rather see him playing for Tonga than training for Aus.

Where would Lewis play, yes he is in good form, but he would not have made the final cut and I see more point in giving youngsters some recognition than putting Lewis in there.

I'd rather him fight for a spot in the Australian team.

This news means he is eligible to play for NSW next year. With Mark Gasnier leaving, his odds at a spot are pretty good aswell.

Exactly and to be honest I want to see the best players playing for NSW, QLD, and Australia.
