Here is hoping Team Managment got a hold of this and gave it to the Players.

Why?

He should be remembered and honoured... but it shouldn't interfere with their training schedules. If there were players that knew him well personally then give exceptions but that is about all they should do.

well..lucky Brian Canavan isn't our CEO or he would of made each and everyone of them attend, wear the club attire and form a guard of honour.

in any case..I hope the service goes well for the Hambly family godbless em.

None of the paying staff were even born when Hambly was an Eel. Bit silly expecting them do don a suit Friday and pay respects IMO.

I believe we should.

It shows pride & respect for the club and the players that have bled to make the club what it is.

The only side effect I can see is that it might instill some pride in the players for the jersey they wear. FFS we couldn't have that !

We would have a whole bunch of former players die every year. So they should go to them all in your opinion ?

Completely disagree. His funeral should be about HIM and nothing else. It shouldn't have anything to do with Parramatta unless requested. Having a bunch of blokes he never even knew forming a guard of honour for him when they don't want to takes away the significance of the occasion as far as i am concerned.
