Actually this does piss my off. If they're not going to show it live why should the Kiwi fans have to put up with having to wait until 8:40pm for the kick-off? They might as well have kicked off at 7:30 if they were going to delay it anyway, makes sweet-f**k-all difference whether it's delayed 1 hour or 2. I thought the whole point of the 8:40 kick-off was to allow Australian TV to cut to the the game live at 6:30 Eastern standard time after the news?

6:40 would have been brilliant- I could have knocked off work at 4, hit the pub for the Toyota Cup match, grabbed a kebab when it finished, gone straight back to the pub for the main game then rolled home at about 8:30 well and truly lagered!

There's absolutely no source (and 2UE saying so means nothing) to contradict the announcements so far that have indicated that Channel Nine and the NRL confirmed last night - the game will be live immediately following the news.

Until we see something written indicating otherwise, then this is a load of horse sh*t.

This just means the EPG both online and on all our foxtel machines hasn't been updated with the new information. It was confirmed LAST NIGHT on 2GB by NRL COO Graham Annesley that Channel Nine will screen both games live, the Friday game immediately following National Nine News at 6:30pm.

Why people are believing a rival station and absolutely no written confirmation has got me stumped...

Exactly. That's something done much closer to the day. It's easier for them to do one big update if they need to make any additional changes than changing each new program as it's announced. It is still 6:30pm as stated on 2GB yesterday by Graham Annesley.

Nine don't manage NineMSN. Microsoft does. Nine is just part owner and provides content.
