Considering the Solar system has a finite existence then the death questions are kinda hard to answer unless we conquer interstellar space and take league to the other side of the galaxy, now that is ambition.

yeah the whole ET thing has been resolved i think, Andrew Ettingshausen has the record for playing the most games for one club 328. Steve Menzies doesnt even hold the most games for Manly Cliff Lyons holds that with 306 and deserves too, he was a Manly clubman as much as Beaver was
Cliffy started at the Bears, so yes he was a true Manly clubman, poached from norths:)

(my cheek tastes good)

on the record 40-0

both sides scored 8 tries ie easts & manly

manly might have had 4 point tries v 3 points to easts but easts got the advantage of the scrum penalty/differential penalty - someone might like to look at how many penalty goals they kicked that day - i am not sure !
None I think.

You are going on about what a 1975 record should be in todays time , i just prove how stupid your statement is.

Its the same game even though it changed in 33 years

I can't believe I'm going to say this, and Gaba, you wont either, but I actually agree.
As annoying as it was to see Manly take the mantle of the biggest win in a grand final, you damn well had to be impressed. To hit 40 in a Grand Final is one hell of an effort.

And yes, in todays scoring, we might have more points, but worse I would hate to see old scores being changed to suit modern scoring methods. Records by legends such as Dave Brown should never be changed, just like the 38-0 legendary win our team had in 1975.

Manly won by 40, it is the bigger margin. Well done to them. It's no longer a scoreline, it is now folklore. People in 20 years will talk about the Manly Grand Final side of 2008, like people today talk about the Easts side of 1975.
