worst game im ever seen from the storm, and we are no longer the dominant team we were, cronk was once again woeful with his attacking kicks and passes, chambers could be the worst player ive ever seen, inglis never saw the ball and its not his fault, no one gives it to him, our backrowes have to punch, footwork or sting and even the one player i could always depend on slater is playing some of the poorest footy ive ever seen from him, cam makes no metres from dummy half but was proberbly our best, turner is a hack, quinn was quite good, maloney was average, blair was sh*t, lima went missing, johnson cant attack for his life, and i just think were destined for the bottom half of the ladder this year, f*** you melbourne you useless fu*ks,, that was rubbish

it was rubbish. we have played rubbish all year. i said at the start of the year it would not be an end of an era...but it looks like the boys are proving it to be true.

hopefully we can sign up some good tall wingers for next year..and maybe a centre who can tackle.

It's an end of an era of dominance thanks to the salary cap but you still have a team that will be competitive. It will be interesting to see how the team plays with Finch at 5/8.

 We're struggling to make a yard and you think wingers and centers are what we need. Our problems start and end in the forward pack and the make-up of it. Your right though that Finch wont make much difference if our pack continues to struggle. Jeremy Smith would make our pack look so much better right now then DJ, sorry to say. He tries hard but is that enough in the current game.

What Finch may be able to bring is some unpredictability to our mundane attack, as well as another kicking option.

Cronk is struggling this year. Behind a beaten pack, sure, but tonight he didnt seen to know what to do at times. He ran when he should of passed, that kick across when the Tigers were all over the place after teh Inglis kick return when the ball needed to go through the hands, a chip over the top that was way too deep...he is a little lost ans short of answers.

Chambers, I now agree, needs to go. We desperately need Manu back. We are undersized.

This period may be a little tough to take, but I am pretty confident we will still be able to get it together before too long. Winning 3 games when we have only scored 13 tries all season is pretty amazing in itself.

Dont worry about era's ending, I didnt think one had started.

We lost Crocker, Jeremy Smith, Folau - thats quite a formidable strike force . We need to sign big wingers who can act as forwards as well. When the f**k will White and Manu be ready?

Going on the perfomance tonight it could well be the end of a golden run but surely we cant play any worse.
Also id hate to say it but imo i think inglis' true position is fullback i know he cant play ther cause of slater but even if he drops back every now and then he might get more involved. Maybe he is just having a lean patch at the moment tho.

Every era has it's Zenith(or in lamest terms: Height) and then it degrades. The Storm's power and prowess lasted for an impressive 3 Seasons. I think that's pretty tremendous considering how the Salary Cap limits the amount that can be splashed on players and the abilit to keep players.

Finch will relieve some pressure off Cronk. Hopefully they will share ideas because Cronk runs out of ideas sometimes.

Not unexpected....considering the great players we have lost over the last 2 years due to the salary cap.
We have had a dream team and now have to support the boys more than ever and enjoy watching the new guys step up.
With chambers gone next year and possibly a few others, we should be able to sign up what is needed to make a competitive team.
So just hang in there everyone.

The biggest blunder the storm done was too resigned Bellamy , when the signs were there last year when the nrl cracked down on the storm dirty tactics bellamy had no counter and was never going to

Agree totally with your comments...it is just unfortunate that Storm are a victim of their own success. When a young player succeeds so does his value.

Here is my two cents:

Cohesion in attack - Cronk cannot be blamed for all of this. We cannot expect him to attack from both sides of the ruck on every play. His no 6 should be playing the other side and this did not happen last night and to an extent did not happen when Smith was there as well. Maloney struggles positionally as well...Lima grubbering last night on attack was proof of this.

Forwards - my pre-season concerns over lack of size is coming true. Blair and Lima are fronting up but do no carry the size that Manu and White do. When we cannot dominate the ruck then Cronk is going to get no space.

Chambers - got on the outside of the Tigers centre twice last night and then just goes to ground. Cannot fend and cannot beat a player on pace. Completely ineffective on attack and this is making our wingers look poor. No centre no opportunities really...

Finch - will at least allow Cronk to control one side of the field and give him some time to assess his options when on attack.

Bellamy - will the media jump on him ??. I don't see why but you know how fickle the Sydney journos are.

Chins up Purple Army - we need to stick tough with our team through good and bad times.

:)

End of an era, yes it certainly is!
Once you start to lose, you will lose your 20 strong supporter base and its all over. Time to relocate.
