Just asking for peoples opinions, When both players are fully fit, Who would you go for?

They have fairly identical games, I think Sutton has better ball skills but Mateo is more of a forward.

Mateo is a better forward but sutton can fill in the halves better. I would take Mateo as the raiders already have a big skillful 5/8.

Why do Souths fans like starting comparison threads between a Souths player and another player from another team?

Sutton is the most overrated player in living memory... The guy is lazy and crap! One decent game every 10 doesn't make him good.

When Sutton is on, he's amazing. When he's not on, he can be pretty awful. A bit of an enigma at times.

Mateo is consistently good. Can go missing every so often, or push the odd offload that just isn't on ... but can be relied upon to put in decent performances week in week out.

If I was a coach I'd perfer Mateo on the above basis.

As for injury, Sutton has had his fair share and I don't think Mateo is particularly injury prone. Shrug.

both remarkably similar players, same sort of size, same sort of skillset and same age. I don't know who I'd rather but I wouldn't mind one of them coming off the bench for NSW next year, would ask the Qlders a few questions..

Coming off the bench and running straight at Lockyer would be enormous for NSW.

both have the ability to offload which just adds an extra dimension. In the past NSW has picked one dimensional packs which have been nothing but cannon fodder. I reckon Mateo or Sutton will add the bit of creativity and game breaking ability without sacrificing any size

Coming off the bench, jumping over the fence, running up the steps, getting past security and through the locked door into the coaching box where a bemused Lockyer would say "errr, what the f**k you doing here mate?"

Not quite sure how that would benefit NSW though :p

Mateo can create more then Sutton. Mateo is the better play maker. His ability down teh left edge and behind the ruck is amazing. He was the main reason why Parra won any games last year. If we won, it was coz of him.

Get your hand off it.

They are so similar in playing style it is not funny.
