Spoke to Vossy after the game and I asked him about that final penalty to the storm which ended the game. He said that the touchy called to him that Slater droped it however Archer simply still blew the whistle and over ruled him....

True but it was a very bad call from him which ended the game for us. We had Melbourne on the ropes at that point of the game

Spot on, Archer's call concluded the game. It was a pathetic call that just shows how ordinary the refs are in the NRL system. Disappointing the game couldn't have gone to the 80th minute!

Archers call was a bad call, but we lost because we couldn't handle the moment.

I doubt it would have decided the game.

What decided the game was the Inglis Try... FFS he caught it on the full uncontested...Game Over from that try!!

It was a tough call, and it was given for the tackle being continued not for teh drop. That rule, where a player makes a legs tackle then gets penalised for a leg pull has been waiting to f**kup for 5 years. In the end, it was a tough call but certainly wasnt the reason Parra lost. Para's speed at playing the ball was utterly dominated all day by melbourne, they never got a roll on as they have been.

I don't care both sides got benefit of the doubt penalties during the game but that last penalty was f**Ked. It was not a penalty, maybe the result would not have changed but gee the eels were hard done by.

vossy was wrong as per normal the touch judge can not be overruled the only time his deciison can be changed is on video replay by the video ref, its the touch what can overrule a ref in normal play.

So it was more likely the touch judge told archer it was a penalty. when archer ruled a drop ball

You have this completely the wrong way around actually. A Touchie can ADVISE a referee, the final call rests with the ref. In fact a referee can not be over-ruled by anyone. Before you say "video ref" that would be incorrect since a video ref is only technically supposed to be used when a referee is in doubt.
