2010 Rabbitohs Membership are NOW ON SALE so make sure you click on http://www.rabbitohs.com.au/Membership.html to renew or join today.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs have raised the bar in terms of Membership for all NRL Clubs in 2009, and the Club is looking to do the same again for the 2010.
The Rabbitohs became the number one Club in terms of Membership in 2009 with over 15,000 Members showing their allegiance to the South Sydney Football Club in 2009. Amongst those 15,000 Members were over 8,600 Ticketed Members.
In 2010, the Rabbitohs are aiming to have 10,000 Ticketed Members supporting the Club amongst a total of 17,500 total Members.
“Our Members are very proud of the fact that they are part of the number one Club in terms of Membership and I’m sure they all want to keep it that way,” Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson said.
“We’ve led the way in spreading the message of just how important Membership is to NRL Clubs, and that message rings true with our Club in particular as we do not receive income from poker machines.
“It was a fantastic effort for our Members to break the 15,000 mark in 2009, and we’re asking them to commit to the Club again for 2010.
“In my opinion we have the most loyal Members and supporters in the game, and it’s our Members who understand the importance of Membership the best.”
Mr Richardson said the Rabbitohs have maintained package prices to make sure that everyone can afford to become a Member of the Rabbitohs, and South Sydney provides the best value for money in the NRL with Ticketed Members having access to 14 games throughout the season.
Ticketed Members will receive:

* Ten home games at ANZ Stadium;
* One home game at Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford;
* The Charity Shield against the Dragons in February;
* Two away games at ANZ Stadium against the Bulldogs and the Eels.
“You can’t find better value than that anywhere. The Reggie Rabbit packs for the kids are the best value of all,” Mr Richardson said.

“You couldn’t get a better birthday or Christmas present for a young Rabbitohs supporter.”
For just $50 (if signing up online) juniors get all the normal inclusions such as:
* Access to 14 games;
* Members cap, keyring, sticker, magnetic fixture card, lanyard;
* Red and Green Magazine subscripti
* MemberZone website access;
* Entry to post match functions, etc;

In addition, junior Members also receive:
* A Rabbitohs team bag;
* Rabbitohs football;
* 2010 Team poster;
* Birthday card;
* Invitation to Rabbitohs school holiday clinic.

The Rabbitohs will again be hosting a Members Only trial match at Redfern Oval, with the ‘Return to Redfern’ game being played against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles on Sunday 7 February 2010, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the 1970 Grand Final.
Again, Ticketed Members will be the only people with access to purchase tickets for this game, with 4,000 RTR2010 tickets ON SALE NOW.
Mr Richardson says the Club wants to continue to improve on and off the field in 2010 and Membership is a key component of that.
“On the field, we improved from 14th to 10th in 2009 but we know that isn’t where we want to be,” Mr Richardson said.
“We’ve brought some quality players to the Club in David Taylor and Ben Ross, and our young guns will continue to improve as individuals and as a team. 2010 will be an exciting year for our Members to be a part of this Club.

“Will you stand and be counted?”

Nothing officially announced yet Tim, however we do have a home game against the knights in round 5, it'd be a fairly safe bet to assume the game will be taken up to Gosford.
The only dates and venues we have locked in are for trials:

Souths vs Manly (Return to Redfern)
Sunday Feb 7
Redfern Oval

Souths vs Gold Coast
Saturday Feb 20
BCU International Stadium
Coffs Harbour

Souths vs St George-Illawarra (Charity Shield)
Sat Feb 27
ANZ Stadium

Thats the date given for the Charity Shield for the 2010 season draw on the Rabbitohs website. Im guessing its official for them to publish it.
They have also been advertising season packages as including a ticket to the Charity Shield, so im guessing the clubs must have confirmed it.

Ticketed Membership Breaks 4,000 Mark

26 Oct 2009

2009Membership4000Detail-39ed40e1-a1fc-4b89-b3e8-d16dce338735.jpg
Rabbitohs Ticketed Membership has topped the 4,000 mark today (Monday) with the grandstand seating allocation for the Return to Redfern match now exhausted.

Grandstand seating has been snapped up within the first month of being on sale, with only 1,422 tickets remaining in general admission areas.

The Rabbitohs are aiming to attract 10,000 Ticketed Members to the Club for season 2010, amongst a total of 17,500 Members.

It has never been more crucial for Members to help the Club strive towards its targets for the coming year.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have led the NRL in Membership over the past three seasons and the Club wants to stay number one amongst the 16 Clubs.

With less than 1,500 Return to Redfern tickets remaining, it is imperative that Ticketed Members waiting to renew or join should not delay any further.

The Return to Redfern 'Members Only' trial against the Sea Eagles on Sunday 7 February is available only to 2010 Ticketed Members of the Club.

It is not too late to sign up for 2010 Membership and for Ticketed Members to secure tickets to the Return to Redfern match.

The easiest way to renew or join is online by visiting www.rabbitohs.com.auand following the links to Membership. You also save money by renewing or joining online.

Alternatively, you can join or renew your Membership on the phone by calling 02 8306 9922 or in person at 104 George St in Redfern.

Current Members can also renew by sending in their renewal forms which were sent to all existing Members last week.

Im always about the last to sign in.

A week before the first game of the season, I'll join up.

So long as I'm board before the season commences proper.

I like the fact that we havent had so big change of personnel. To some extent due to injuries and coaching, the last 2 years have seemed a bit rushed and hurried in parts. Players have had to cope with a procession of new faces, skills and styles. Thats been challenging.

Lang is a big-game coach, hes gritty, muggy and unfashionable, but that 2003 GF was the greatest grand final of my era and his team were incredibly strong in the upstairs department.

So I hope we can finally settle down and be consistently good.

And you will find that just about all of our beloved bears have had some solid first grade experience.

And strong squads, hell, they win premierships.

The more I ponder our 2010 prospects, the more I like it.

We are owed big-time and now its time to collect.

All those sick minded c**k-smoking dissidents who contributed to or were indifferent about our expulsion, they can fugging well get on their knees and kiss our backsides.

Rugby League belongs to Souths.

I usually do it as soon as I get it, but I have been flat out, and haven't got around to it yet.

That said, will be there in the members, having a few cold ones with fellow LU Souths tragics, watching our boys RIPPING THEIR FACES OFF IN 2010.

That is all.

Cheers
