Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Lets do the checklist:

1) Have been bailed out before, only to make the same mistakes again? - CHECK!
2) In spite of getting bailed, went to Super League anyway? - CHECK!
3) Boss trying to obtain funding by fraudulent means? - CHECK!

That's all I need to see, get your bag, get your sh*t and GET THE f**k OUT! (*backhands Ricky Stuart across the face and pushes him down a flight of stairs)

Leave them to their own devices. They need a white knight (plenty of whites in the Shire) or a miracle on the field to have any hope in the mid term. Time for natural attrition in the NRL. Let their fans dig into their own pockets like Footscray & Richmond did in the AFL in the late 80's. Otherwise, let the Sharks admin do the best deal they can to relocate.

And Vossy...no dice mate. Steelers were never going to make the cut in 98 due to the NRL classing them a Sydney club (funny they didn't see fit to do the same for the ARL golden boys Newcastle). Saints saw an opportunity to get their hands on a junior nursery that stretches from Arncliffe to Batemans Bay & Wollongong got to keep having NRL football 6 times a year.

Thats just good business. Something the Sharks have no understanding of, even at a fundamental level.

Say what you like. As of today, I know whose shoes I'm much happier to be in.

Problem with natural attrition is the time it takes. I get the sense with an impending pokie tax slug from the Federal Govt on the horizon the NRL knows that up to 9 clubs are going to be in serious strife and therefore intend to keep any income increases over the next 8 years to bail out these struggling clubs. Rather than survival of the fittest they will plough the games $'s into keeping the strugglers afloat, thus holding the game back for another decade.

Once a Fagon supporter always a fagon supporter. St George are rolling in the cash arent they? Funny how all the Sharks bashing threads are highlighted on this website. Why? Because its run by Stain George supporters thats why.
Sharks will have their future funding sown up soon. Where will Stain Georges funding be coming from? Dont ask Doust, he hasnt a clue.
Maybe the * can syphon some of their * money back into this choker of a club.

All the Sydney teams right? And their survival will hold the game back  You are so predictable - the weakest Sydney side has lasted for 4 decades, and you want them to die so your 5 minute wonders can come back in?

Good points RCB. I agree with you. No need to axe anyone & the NRL don't want blood on their hands anyway. I agree the NRL are not going to do you any favors after the Gosford thing last year.

Its sink or swim time in the Shire.

But they may not be alone.

LOL! Right, LU is to blame. At best, a case of shooting the messenger. And a tad paranoid.

Either way, you're wrong. The forum administrator is a Parra supporter. Last time I checked, LU's NRL forum has two Parra supporters and a Wests Tigers supporter as moderators.

The news website content is managed by a whole range of supporters, mainly Knights and Bulldogs - but well represented by most clubs. IT manager is a Knights supporter. Webhost managers are Titans supporters.

So you couldn't be further off the mark.

And like you, all are entitled to their opinion.

If you're worried about me, I'm happy with the folks that put in their time for free and I've long since moved on to off-site matters.

Sirshark, if you're fair dinkum, you can always join the website content team. There are a few Sharks supporters that have access to those areas. You enjoy posting on forums, so perhaps you'd be happy to help make a difference on a truly independent rugby league site.
