Thank you for the contribution from [unresolved host] in Bellevue Hill.

I'm suspect the real Uncle Reg would tell you to get stuffed.

Thanks champ. Must make you feel pretty powerful being able to look up IP locations. I can picture you sitting there in your Sherlock Holmes outfit, pipe in your hand, cracking a boner over your awesome talent.

Stupid thread.

GST sign should stay. Granted, yes, its not as flashy as the newer signs that some of the others take to the game but that sign is easily recognisable and unique.

Have a read of this (from the Illawarra Mercury):
He's only missed one Dragons game in 20 years and the banner he holds proudly on the sideline is known throughout the rugby league states.Mark Molloy is laying claim to the title of Dragons' biggest fan.
The 38-year-old storeman and packer lives in Greystanes - the heart of Eels territory - but has overcome this geographical hiccup via pure passion and dedication to St George Illawarra

He doesn't eat on game day due to nerves and when the NRL draw is released at the start of each year he submits leave application forms at work so he can attend every game - from Auckland to Townsville.
"I've only missed one game in 20 years and that was a New Zealand game in 2004," Mr Molloy said.
"I had a prior engagement that day."
Mr Molloy said he "just picked" the Dragons as his team in the late 1970s and has stuck with them since. He has "waited a long time" for a year like season 2009.
His GST (Great St George Team) banner has been a feature of Dragons crowds since former prime minister John Howard (a Dragons fan) pushed the tax in 1997.
During an away game in Canberra recently former opposition leader John Hewson - the man who raised the prospect of such a tax in Australia even earlier - happily posed for a photograph with Mr Molloy and the banner.
Dragons army spokesman Steven Kehlet said Mr Molloy's loyalty deserves reward.
"We nominate Mark - on behalf of all the people who are in the Dragon Army - because it is supporters like him that should be rewarded with success of the club," Mr Kehlet said.
"Through good and bad times, Mark has been a consistent, passionate supporter of St George and St George Illawarra and he is one person that if you know the Dragons are playing, he is going to be there to support them 100 per cent." That's 100 per cent plus GST, more accurately.

Actually, I did nothing. I just figured you for an Easts supporter. Looks like I got it in one.

Why do trolls keep calling me 'champ'?

Just thought I'd chime in here with a point.

A lot of people are throwing around claims to being a "bigger" fan than someone else based on the number of games you attend or how many flags you own, or whether you eat on gameday.

Im sorry but that does not wash.

I know people in the Dragon Army who are there every week, but I never hear a positive word come out of their mouth. I hear people bag the players, the coach and the club staff, yet they claim to be the biggest supporters of the team goin around.

I've heard it for years. Since I was about 15 I've sat amongst the Dragon Army and I've heard and seen things unbecoming of any so called fan.

I'm not innocent either. I sang "our coach is an easter egg" during the Farrar era. I booed Trent Barrett till my throat was sore some days, and I've sledged Dousty more times than I can remember.

For my mind the measure of a supporter is the integrity of their support. Its easy to come on here and be passionate, its easy to wear a Red Vee around and sing songs, but it isn't so easy to take the bad stuff with the good. Standing around after the game in melbourne last week and singing and singing reminded me why I love being part of it. There are people who dont care if we win or lose, but just love the club. The looks on the Storms supporters faces was priceless too!

How this has all come about is rediculous because Mark can hold up whatever banner he wants.(even if it needs some updating) If he is holding it up to prove he is the best fan (which i certainly dont think he is) then that would be wrong. If youre coming on here taking a shot at him because you think you are more commited to the cause, then you couldnt be further from the truth.

It was either champ or f*ckwit. Guess ill just stick to f*ckwit next time. And I aint no Roosters supporter. Just because your a fan of c0cks doesnt mean we all are.

Back on topic. If this Mark fella insists on bringing the banner to our games he should keep doing it until he finally gets a chance to hold it up at a grand final win. I hope that thing has another 20 years in it.

Brendo, with respect I think your post is too good for this discussion. It should have been put in its own thread. Sadly, this thread that has been customised for worthless trolls.

I've got a nice framed print of that 'Dragons Back At Jubilee', when we got back to the spiritual base in '03 and shat down the Sharks throat. The GST sign is on the print amoungst the sea of faces that acts as a background to some action shots. Sadly there is a shot of that slime bucket Hasan Saleh, quite possibly the biggest, greasyest, smellyest dog sh!t to play for our club since 1921.

The GST banner is 100% St. George.

So how far into your 60000 posts was it before you had your meltdown Sherlock? Or have you not had a chance to leave your computer yet in all those years to get yourself diagnosed properly.

Anyways try to stay on topic Sherlock. The grown ups are having a serious discussion about a very important banner. I think i saw Super Sowie looking up at the banner for inspiration during the finals last year. I saw tears in his eyes and looked like he was choking up with emotion...but that could have been something else.

The banners an institution and more power to such a loyal fan. The only point the haters have is that it is a bit outdated. Gotta admit, displaying a sign that refers back to sixties is really pushing the nastalgia thing :)

I think you've mistaken the GST sign for

LEGENDARY
SAINTS
DRAGONS

HAHA, Honeslty I can't take the authority of someone with 60,000 posts seriously. Willow how do you find time to make it to the games or centrelink with your vigorous forum policing regime?

I think you would have the personality traits of that fat kid from the Goonies.

You really are a true fan!:lol::shock::D:D

Legendary post Brendan!
I will never come up with something like that. At least I don't think anyway

Last time I spoke to Mark, he suggested it was time to retire the sign, he has taken to every point of the compass the Dragons have played and as he can't carry the dowel rods required to hold it up, on the planes, has to purchase new ones. Now that is dedication, finding a hardware store etc.
Anyway I suggested he was an instituation and suggested he continue the legend. I take my hat off to him.

W.B.2.S.O.S I can't believe your calling Wayne Bennett a troll. He is our mastercoach. Besides what does he have to do with any of this.
