If they badly want a hybrid game then just have League + lineout and and scrums from Union. Union will have the advantage in set plays, League with the play the ball and attack.

It would surely be no more than novelty interest only, I cant see any corporate pumping that sort of money into it.

How the hell does a hybrid game work? If they want to play code vs code, they should do 1 half league & 1 half union. Deadset. Change the interchange rules and player numbers as required.
