3- Hoffman
2- Lockyer
1- Folau (try made the difference to the rest)

The input from the Origin players was expectedly not as high, but can't really fault them. A few rushed decisions, including a couple of howlers by Gillett. You can still notice the youth of the team...

Hoffman, Locky, Gillett all pulled try savers and there was overall good desperation in defense, which helped by rushing Smith into his brain snaps, but we need a big improvement against this Manly team that is killing the Cows.

Wallace was IMO the only player below par tonight.

3 points - Lockyer
2 points - Thaiday
1 point - Glenn

Happy to come home with the two points from this one. Very good consolidating win.

Just want to thank the Cronulla recruitment team again. I'll be forever grateful for your vision to recruit Tim Smith.

Good win in the wet i thought

3. Lockyer
2. Thaiday
1. Hoffman

Defence was decent and liked the work around the ruck in attack particularly with Hoffman trailling up the middle. Obviously something they been working on and it looks promising. Tronc makes up for a lack of speed by sheer ground covered during a game. Saw him cleaning up a loose ball out on the right wing in broken play. Our kicking game was good too. Good win and still heading in the right direction.

3. Lockyer - good kicking game, and turned the clock back ten years with that defensive effort, especially the try saver on Barrett.
2. Hoffman - moving very quickly to make the fullback position his own. Excellent in defence and very good in attack.
1. Parker - Good hard runs and tackled his arse off. Was one of the only forwarsd genuinely bending the line last night.

Special mentions to Dodds and Tronc. Wallace was off, apart from some good inside passes (but still outplayed Smith by a country mile).

Folau was good without being great, although had that no-look pass to Yow Yeh stuck and not gone over the sideline, we'd be talking about him a lot more. (although the same could probably be said for Jarryd Hype on Wednesday night)

Go over to Fox Sports for the match report and on the main page you'll see a photo of Matt Gillett after he was ankle tapped running away with that intercept. Except apparently he changed his name to Ben Teo just for last night.

He did good and bad things (the knock on and the kick both in the sharks 20m) but I still think his work on the left deserved a point. He did look a bit rusty because he hasn't played in a while.

Didn't see the game, but glad to see Hoffman is beginning to fulfill his potential. From what I've seen so far, I predict in a while it'll be a case of Karmichael who?

Tim Smith was always a hot/cold player. Sounded like a cold night in Sydney for him last night.

Beginning to look very solid at the back defensively, whether it is catching bombs or making tackles. In attack he just needs to develop a bit of a passing game. He already is running the ball very strongly and busting tackles.

didn't see the game just saw highlights. IMO We shouldn't have had that penalty goal, topuo had evry right to try and take the ball. I really wish the NRL would change that rule. The Ball Carrier has to hold on to the ball. On another note Lockyer and Gillets tackles were good to watch, i think i few weeks ago the young kids wouldn't have been arsed to make those tackles.

Another thing i found interesting is that Lockyno1 has gone surprisingly quiet

Yeah ... funny that ... no comment about a game where a player he's continually bagged (Hoffman) played so well, and a player he's virtually said could save the Broncos (Tim Smith) played like a dog.

We're waiting Locky No.1. Anything?

A win is a win. And I am relieved to be saying that as cronulla only needed to execute better in attack and addition of class player would help that and the score could have been 20-4 against us.

3 Hoffman
2 Lockyer
1 Parker

Honorable mentions to Thaiday, Folau, Gillett, McCullough, Glenn and Sims. These players weren't far away from snapping one point.

It was good to see Wallace and Locky peppering Folau with high kicks. Some nights that'd be good for 3 trys and the odd penalty as they try to block him.

Why would you WANT him to post? Just enjoy his absence.

Yow Yeh needs a week in QCUP or U20s to get some confidence.

Anyone know if Kemp play QCUP this week?? He is no longer on the injured list.
