What does a Gillard administration mean for the NRL?

Lots of Western Bulldogs talk this morning about Gillard. Must be a big fan.

She had no interest in fumbleball until she realised it was a good move for a politician to jump on a sporting bandwagon.

She's admitted as much. That's why she was also the Storm's no 1 or 2 ticketholder.

She started supporting the Bulldogs in the 80s when she came to Melbourne to work for Peter Gordon (Slater & Gordon) who is a mad Bulldogs fan and was involved in the campaign to save the club in the late 80s and went on to become President.

Given Penrith has switched to Liberal, would RL be better off with a Liberal Govt than a labour one? We used to be the "working class" game but our traditional areas seem to be more and more Liberal voters.

Whatever she does for RL I hope she does a good job for the country.

I want to see Gillard jog bra-less in a T-shirt on a cold winters morning in Canberra. Then and only then, will i make my judgment on her.

Won't matter, she will only have the job for 6 months.

+1

But Tony Abbot won't watch any league games - he'll be in church.

And Bob Brown will be plating trees somewhere. Besides, he's the kind of limp-wrister who'd rather his kids did interpretive dance than play sports.

Oh wait, he doesn't have kids. Thanks to his 'lifestyle choice'

Given the awful crop of politicans we have at the moment, I'll be grateful if they just leave Rugby League the f*ck alone.

I think I'd rather scratch my eyes out with a rusty nail than see that.

What's Natasha Stott Despoja doing these days? Now if SHE went out jogging on a cold winters morning...

The person in charge of a political party has complete say in what happens under their regime.

SHe was a communist at uni
And just a week or so ago she said `there's more chance of her playing full forward for Geelong' than her ousting Rudd
Thus:
She's a red
She's ginger
She's not to be trusted
And she likes a game for cats

Her and Benny Creagh should shack up

in fairness to gillard, even she would have made more then 22ms playing second row for the blues

I'm picking a generally more unfavourable climate as the feminazi's take over and promote the more perceived "female friendly" codes.

yes, because her first priority would be to take down rugby league.

good god, some of you need to be kicked in the face. don't like the fact women are in charge of you? poor little boys.

:crazy:Right wing paranoia at it's best.

I personally couldnt really give a sh*t about Gillards thoughts on League. Sport policy is pretty low on my list of reasons to like/dislike a government.

She's the number 1 female Storm ticket holder. She's come out publicly in support of the Storm.

If anything. She will be in favor of league.
