-3 Gardner for not passing to Gordon
-2 Gardner for not passing to Gordon
-1 Gardner for not passing to Gordon
Noticed Flanagan hooked Cordoba when he flopped in and gave that penalty. That brought Dougie back early.
Gardner has all the potential in the world. But his failure to recognise and use his supports is his undoing. Don't think that hasn't gone unnoticed by rival coaches.
It was his 10th first grade game. I expect the coach to be developing him through this. Awareness comes with experience.
At least he didn't do "a Millo"
Speaking of The Milo (which was pretty ordinary), how was Dugan sticking his hand out to knock down the ball not a knock on? He played at it, he hit it, it went a yard forward and Cheech and Chong say play on.
Also, from the same play, how quickly did Ike run Dugan down!
Yes I realise that and understand the rule but I didn't see it as a charge down. He stuck his hand out and batted the ball down. He was standing still.
Stupid rule if that was the correct decision. One of many.
Frenzy is correct & has possibly highlighted a rule error. It basically means you cannot knock on from a kick as every kick, is an attacking kick.
There are 2 ways to deal with a kick when defending however, & that is by defending it, like catching a bomb or attacking it, a la Steve PRice. It is very easy to see the difference.
LAst night Dugan was defending a kick not attacking it.
Are you refering to the night that he snapped Tony Caine's knee backwards? I remember watching that... was quite sickening actually.
