I wonder how Justin Hodges feels about it all right now after these comments:
http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/...uld-walk-away-from-league-20101104-17eqw.html

"We all just wish they (Melbourne and the NRL) could get their stuff sorted out so Greg can come to training and not have to hide away."

Hodges spent Tuesday with Inglis after the Australian star failed to show up at Brisbane training on Monday because he felt "uncomfortable" with his current situation.

"I was with him yesterday and he was feeling pretty down about it all," revealed Hodges.

"He's had a shoulder reconstruction and he needs to be back working on that now and getting it ready for round one."

...

Meanwhile, Hodges said he and Inglis - who has scored 78 tries in 117 games for Melbourne and 25 more for Queensland and Australia in 29 games - could be "something special" if they team up for the Broncos next season.

"We only get the chance to play together a few times (Origin and Tests) and we haven't done that for a while," he said.

"To be able to play with GI every week, that's going to be something special."

Hodges, who once held the tag as the world's best centre, predicted Kempsey-born Inglis could take his game to another level playing outside Darren Lockyer.

"Playing with Locky and Wal (Peter Wallace) and Sammy (Sam Thaiday) is going to suit him," he said.

SBW is the worst ever

What's even worse is the rah rahs in NZ actually buying in to his "childhood All Black dream".

The funniest part of this is that when inglis leaves souffs (and he will) their fans will act like the biggest pack of rabid dogs you have ever seen.

Calling it now, he'll play 10 years for Souths, 200+games,multiple premierships, at least 1 clive churchill medal. Greatest rabbitoh of the modern era by the time he's done.

That won't take much effort. Even if he puts in the effort he did for Footy's fastest man race he'll achieve that.

Yes, recruiting a lazy star centre will fix your other deficiencies, such as your depth and your defence.

Awesome coup and signing, great strike weapon out wide for any team, but that won't solve the Bunnies biggest problem.

Let's not forget Ruben Wiki and his disgraceful failure to honour his "contract" to play for the Warriors in 1995, written on a paper napkin at Auckland Airport ;-)

There is still room for loyalty from players to their clubs if it works out well for both player and club. I'm a fan of the cap even when the money is not spreed evenly throughout the squad.

It's a shame there is less loyalty in the game however, it's a two way street. If clubs make a decsision to let player go to suit the club, I'm not to upset seeing more players do what is best for him.

At least Tallis and Lyon showed loyalty to his state. Fair Dinkum Inglis would swap families if someone paid him enough.

But yes - the game is littered with those that did not honour contracts or agreements. Brian Smith, Bennet, Neil Henry. How about Ben Ikin?

Lyon was judas because he took the money and ran. I guess Inglis too the money AND the boat.

But you know who was the most disloyal? The NRL when it reneged on it's guarantee to treat the Bears as a non Sydney team in the criteria if it moved to Gosford.

The receiver the Bears appointed was the problem.

He will be in such illustrious company as Roy Bell, Shane Marteene, Dean Widders, Joe Williams, Eddie Paea, Nigel Vagana. Being the "greatest Rabbitoh of the modern era" is as easy as getting up out of bed.
