Just a quick question guys and gals
the souff sydney players at oprahs sydney show
had pretty good seats that where obviously handed
to them by sir rusty,it is not a coincedence that,
that many souffs players where put together right
in front of the cameras,my wife and monster-inlaw
got tickets as well but where allocated different
seating areas, this leads to my question ,will the all
seeing, all knowing salary cap puppet ian shubert
investigate weather or not those tickets where
included in the ever growing souffs salary cap?
Considering the famous armani suits where included
in their salary cap, surely these tickets ( gifts )
would be to ?

Have you not heard the country crap they dish out?

Normally you see other groups cover a song and destroy it. Hardly do you ever see the Original artist destroy their own music.

It's still mid-tempo, 4/4 anthemic fluff. If you played me an album track from their early days and one from now, I would not be able to tell which was which.

How is this positive news for the game? Do you think the people in the audience would be encouraged to go to more games because he wears a jersey on stage? Do you think people overseas are going to see pictures of this and say "Wow, that's a cool shirt. I'll google that. Cool, rugby league. I'll start following this sport because Bon Jovi love it."?

If I'd never heard of rugby league and saw Jon Bon Jovi wearing a rugby league jersey, I'd go out of my way to avoid it.

It's publicity the game wouldn't have otherwise.....Seriously, they should get Elle to don cronulla colours, Jackman or Sarah Murdoch to don Manly colours, Michael Clarke to don Tigers colours, Daniel Johns to don knights colours, Ian Thorpe to don Dogs colours (pretty sure he's a doggies supporter) and so on, and start an advertising campaign overseas..........

Whilst people laugh at that book of Feuds, consider that the yanks absolutely love the soap opera, WWE, story side of it all. Those who've seen it say league is more physical than NFL.

So how about an ad on American TV, with a famous aussie celeb telling a story about a feud between clubs (eg souths/manly- Crowe tells souths side, and Hugh Jackman tells the manly side of the feud) and then it cuts to shorts of the best clips of games between the two clubs over the last 40 years......starting with Sattlers Jaw, finishing with Manly beating souths by a point in the dying seconds last year...........

You can't tell me that the yanks wouldn't love that!!!! The game sells itself, but needs help selling the stories..........time to get the right people in.....

Three gigs at the SFS would suggest Bon Jovi are still extremely popular in Australia. Moreso than bands like Metallica, who were out last month and played Acer Arena three times from memory (concert I went to was great).

Good on Crowe for trying to promote the game and LOL at a Sharks fan knocking him. A club on their last legs with geniused fans poking fun at other clubs trying to spread the word.

Cronulla and their fans should do the rest of us a favour and pull up stumps.

The reason Rugby League is such a marginalised game is because we have fans who are so narrow minded.

So it's all that easy to crack into America? Who woulda thunk it.

They wouldn't, because they don't give a stuff about League.

Well done to Crowe.

Unfortunately, thinking outside the square to push your own brand and sponsors is beyond the simpletons on this thread.

I guess when you have low rent sponsors like the CFMEU (who do not care about beastiality) who cares right?

That's because they don't know about it......

Look I'm not saying it'd work, but it's surely worth a shot......

If UFC has shown anything, it's that America is open to new ideas, if it's marketed right.......

Jon Bon Jovi owns an Arena Football League club doesn't he. If so I think he would've taken a bit of interest in Russell's stories.

South's are doing a great job with their promotion. I even feel like getting one of those bunnies hats even though I don't support them.

Waste of time showing seppo's.

Cronulla raise money by accepting money from Fake cancer victim in secret bank accounts...

aussie al knows how to promote his team. nothing wrong with this.

dunno why people care so much. he's rich, he can do what he likes.

as for 'promoting overseas"

wether that is a factor remains to be seen.
