i'd just like to point out that Townsville is much further away from Brisbane than Newcastle. it's only about 45mins-1hr tops in the air to Brisbane from Newcastle... probably less on one of Tinkys private jets

You might find this hard to believe, but Queenslanders, including Brisbanites, actually LIKE Townsville. They actually like most places in Queensland.

It's a laid back place and Wayne would get to run the show his way.

PS. FYI - most people on these forums did not have a dislike of Souths until you started posting your drivel. We mostly felt pity for the plucky little underdogs. I find myself in the unusual position of hoping that St George (a club I have disliked for years) smash you off the park this weekend.

I actually feel sorry for genuine Souths fans who have to put up with you dragging their clubs name into the gutter on these forums with your arrogant posturing and garbage talking.

He's not going to the Cowboys because they don't have the roster to win, even with the world's greatest coach, and they don't have the money to afford him.

I find it interesting that I affect people in such a way. People don't have to like me if they don't want to, I don't need universal popularity. But I don't understand why disliking me has anything to do with disliking my club.

As for the charity shield, it's just a trial. Our 28th most important game this year. The years of it being our GF are long gone. The only value it provides is a taste of footy in February.

If we win I won't be going on about how this is a sign of things to come and proof we're going to dominate (that will only happen starting from round 1). And if we lose I won't be cutting myself.

Tinkler is irrelevant to Bennett's decision because he'll make the decision before Tinkler is owner. And there is no guarantee Tinkler will win the vote.

You just need 25% of people who bother to show up to be anti-privatisation idiots and it won't happen.

Bennett won't choose Newcastle on the possibility that 75% of people vote a certain way. He will choose Souths because he knows there is a 100% chance he'll get everything he needs with us.

Bennett isn't going to the Knights. There's no guarantee Tinkler will even win the vote. There could be enough anti-privatisation idiots at the vote to block it. Remember, they only need 25% to stop it.

And Bennett is going to make his decision before the vote even happens. The Knights without Tinkler are no hopers for getting Bennett, and they'll be without Tinkler at decision time.
