Here we are, playing NSW vs NSW a couple of weeks before Origin, while their players sit back and watch.

What a waste of time, such an old fashioned concept.

Hear Hear. No way this is an origin trial if it is Hinchcliffe will be our number 9. Qld have won the last 5 and they don't waste 80 mins playing a glorified local representative fixture. I thought the match was crap. Waste of time and resources.

why would the NRL schedule a usually heavily represented sydney club to play against the cowboys a few days after the useless City Country game. This is the second time Saints have copped this in the last couple of years.

Dragons will assumably get our byes on Origin Weekends instead... cant have all of them (unless they reschedule the rep season).

As for Soward, yeah its a bit of a nightmare, of all the players in the team, Soward is the one that we cant afford to lose.. which is why im fine if he doesnt run the ball too much or do much defence.. I want him at the back kicking long for 80minutes a game.

Anyway its done now, I just want to be extra safe with him from here, my fear is he will end up carrying the injury all season & into the finals.. he needs to fix it now.. will the groin also stop him kicking freely?

I think that's fair enough, both teams will be heavily represented in Origin.

You're better off playing two teams that are a chance of being understrength, than having a team that only has 1 or 2 reps v a team with 7 or 8.

Cowboys were always only going to have 1 or 2 players on rep duty this weekend... We were always going to have 10.

I was at the game Friday night, freezing.... After the game all the country dragon boys got together and had a photo taken with the shield. It was like they were saying " Look more silver wear to add to the collection" Was so good to see. It warmed me on a cold night.
