Pretty woeful, the game has moven away from us.
Alot looser interpretations on the ruck has allowed teams to uncongest their defensive line there's not as much space out wide as there was last year. Each year a team comes along and finds a new way to bend the rules and interpretations... then the NRL counters that with new interpretations, we shuold of seen it coming. There's no room for dummy half running anymore unless you've got them back peddaling.
Regardless we shouldn't be sitting this low but it's a snow ball effect from Todd Carney to a loss of confidence and unfortunately doesn't look like Smithy is any closer to figuring out a solution. Having some of his key players is probably preventing him some what.
It's not an excuse because we should of seen it coming they gave plenty of warning before the start of the season... it's certainly a case of whoever holds onto the ball and can control field position best will win the game this year. It's certainly not attracive footy but it's really basic footy and no team should fail at it like we did against the Cowboys... 50% completion & a shit load of penalties. That sort of discpline says alot about their attitude at the moment in my opinnion regardless of how hard they'd have us believe they've been training.
