Sub 10k for a top 4 team is unacceptable. It being against the Sharks is no excuse.

Their core fanbase that come rain, hail or shine (or crap opposition) should be bigger than 9733.

Isn't 9733 more than your team got against the Sharks? :?

Bandwagonsman is making a mockery of this being a non troll thread.

NQLD, Perth and Auckland were the best and most forward thinking expansion decisions the game has ever made. SL f**ked it up. Thankfully the cowboys and warriors survived. The cowboys fans will be back. As for the Melbourne crowd, no offence to the sharks but the crowd was always going to be low, all Storm crowds will be low when they play struggling sides (my Storm destroying team included).

so how many games you been to this year??
2. For someone that lives almost halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, that's a pretty good effort IMO.

this...........
Yes. But that game is our one and only appearance on this year's "lowest crowds" list:
http://stats.rleague.com/rl/crowds/2011.html

And I'm afraid I don't understand your points. I never said our crowd against the Sharks was good. But just because there was 1 bad crowd doesn't mean it's ok to have 2 bad crowds.

Also, the Storm are in much better form than Souths. The Storm have been the most winning team of the last decade. Souths have been the least over the last 2 decades.

Our crowds will increase when we hit form.

The Storm haven't been cellar dwellers like the Cowboys have. They have a major city to themselves. I'm sorry but sub 10k doesn't satisfy me and it shouldn't satisfy any NRL fan.

Cheating.

You don't have to tell us this. There is a whole thread devoted to Souths ineptitude.

Souths have bandwagon fans? Shock, Horror.

Who said anyone is satisfied with Storm crowds? The debate has being going on since their inception about the size of the crowds and the amount of moolah being pumped into them. There were 9000 odd fans there, probably 85+% being Storm supporters and the rest shark fans (I'm being very generous). If a better performed side had been playing you could add 2000 to that crowd. Not satisfied but not deathriding either.

91+K This round so far - say 9 at Penriff = 100k - round 12 2010 was 83K - so a substantial catch up - I think a record is still likely this year

48,301 @ Suncorp for the Reds game.

Would have factored in the poor showing at the DH and the fact Broncos members had to buy tickets.

lets factor in 15K Kiwis too shall we
it helps that the crusaders were there.. they don't get near that sized turnout with any other team playing even allowing for them topping the table
they'll be lucky to get 30K next week against the brumbies.

seriously
based on what the Storm have drawn this year
what were people expecting today ?
its exactly what everyone thought would turn up

the storm will pull crowds of this size to most " average " games this year & todays was as average & as unattractive an opponent as you'll get

they have about 10K rusted on fans who'll turn up most weeks
what is different in this new stadium is their bigger drawing games
against the Warriors ( 23K on anzac day ) the Broncos & Dragons will all pull far bigger crowds then they would have next door at the old Olympic park
if they draw 3 20K plus crowds this year ( 1 down already) ... well thats as good as most clubs will do ... Souths certainly  I mean have they drawn 1 yet ?
& so theres no problem.... no problem at all.
