Hello CMUX We all know that i was talking about the 'NRL' National rugby league. NFL is another code and secondly the QLD cup in QLD are made up of local amateur rugby league teams throughout QLD so they have never competed at the 'top level' in 'Australian Rugby League' in the 'ARL or NRL'.Why bother counting premierships from an unprofessional amateur rugby league game that kicked off in may 1909 in brisbane which in those days was called the Queensland Amateur Rugby Football League then it was later renamed Queensland Rugby League and is now called the QLD cup.

one-eyed rabbitoh. The Pride of the league and the People's team.

fans like you are why people lol@souffs..

just a refresher, incase you missed it... the roosters won the same year you were admitted back in by default..

This is what he responded to:

So when do you think the Roosters won all of their comps outside 2002, as part of the NSWRL, so do they not count now?

Roosters last comps before 2002:
1974-1975 (27 year gap)
1945 (30 year gap)

Many clubs have had gap years between premierships, even your club had not won since 1979.

correct.. default..

the nrl had strict business model guidelines for who needed to be in the comp to make it an effective competition..

you know.. the criteria around on field success, membership, finances.. the core of what makes a rugby league club..

you know.. the criteria that souffs failed to meet..

Yeah a phony criteria that was proven flawed by Souths in Court.

no, no, no, no... last year was our first premiership, remember...

or at least that's what 99% of souffs fans keep saying when they come trolling through our forum..

Well what do you expect them to come back at you with, that is the soft spot that riles up your supporters the most. We are not alone is throwing that shit around.

We are talking about the Saints, they also had a gap. Yes, I know they came close plenty of times whilst we couldn't even make the semis after 1989. My Saints mates whilst ecstatic on last year, also had a sense of relief, which is no doubt what would happen if we ever win it (all trolling aside).

taken from this legal journal:

which is a summary of the background, the case & the result.

membership forms a key part of section 5 (sponsorship & other income) and it was clearly detailed in the qualifying criteria (FYI - membership forms the 2nd-3rd largest stream of income for a rugby leage club, behind sponsorship (1st) and for some clubs merchandise).

so.. once again you've had your pants pulled down when trying to act all tough..

i thought you would have learned to get your facts correct by now..

oh.. and btw. membership will have a direct link to section 2 of the criteria, despite only being listed in section 5..

Club Membership had no bearing on anything.

firstly, great to see that we agree on your childish insults..

secondly, yes, heresay.. we have two differing views of the facts, i provide you with a legal document to back up my side of the argument.. you, well, maybe you need to do your usual and scour the online news for some kind of article..

You stated outright in a thread that membership formed part of the criteria? You have not produced it.

In the late 90's the number of members of NRL clubs combined was minimal. In 2005/2006 the total members of all clubs was around 50K or so.

Gate receipts I would imagine would have been higher as well
