Normally I would probably be upset signing someone so old but from Origin III and his form this year Civo is still clearly a premier prop. And probably the best thing about this is that Thaiday can remain in the 2nd row.

Great news.

Going to be a pretty huge gulf between the starting props and the bench props.

I do think Parker probably deserves the captaincy. Maybe we take the 2 captains system, since Petro won't play that many minutes.

Wow this came out of no where! And what a good surprise is was! I'm very happy with this signing. As people have already said he will be that steady head for the team when Lockyer is gone, and he is exactly what Hala, McGuire, Dodds and Lui need to get them to that next level.

I was hoping to see Lockyer and Civo play 1 last season together though.

Not too long ago Civo expressed interest in playing past 2012 as long as he is healthy.
