They did beat Melbourne in Melbourne though and they seem to always play well against us.

Another measuring stick match.

Yeah I would say renouf not to get to over confident for this match. Warriors are also at full strength and are dangerous all over the park!

We'll definitely want to be a freight train thru the middle. Not pleased anderson is playing -Id rather see Teo start and Hala bench him...

No doubt the Warriors will throw the ball around and cause us a few problems in defence, but we should be good enough to win this.

I wouldnt say easier, but now a HUGE chance to clear ahead of those two sides.

Hope our boys bring their A Game cause Warriors will give us all they've got !

Epic game! Not too sure what to make of it as Warriors get two long range tries and Parker didn't have his kicking boots on.

Great effort by the forwards seeing Hannant and Parker went down.

3. Gillett
2. Thaiday
1. Reed

Good to see Teo back. Was pretty solid given his lack of game time this year. Ben Hunt wasn't particularly useful in attack or defence... McGuire stood up.

Great game, finals type footy.. Warriors are a bit better than I expected and rated. They are so quick. We did well to hang on IMO and still have plenty to learn and improve. Once we click though I think we can take down anyone.

wow that was a craker of a game hey, there a lot of calls that dint go our way..especially forward passes and that penalty near our goal line was undeserving on our part. but i always knew warriors is always hard to defeat.

I havent yelled so much during a game in a long time, my voice now sounds like locky's. Thrilling match went down to the wire. Glad we hung in there and got the valued two points, which had us outright 3rd place!

Will point up voting points once Ive seen a replay. GO THE BRONCOS !!!!!!!!!!

A real pleasing result last night. The Warriors are in some good form and bought it with them yet I think we were the much better side. Some long range brilliance (that was some try by their 7) and poor kicking by Parker kept it tight.

Points go to:
3 Thaiday
2 Wallace
1 Gillett

What's with all the f**king Kiwi's in Brisbane? For f**ks sake someone has got to shut the gate!

what a game!!! it was written for lockyer to put that one over that got charged down, lucky wallace kept his head on. lockyer although he did set up two really good tries, for me he looked a bit off the pace he wasnt really as aware or composed as usual. did anyone else think that?
i must say i love mcguire, drop anderson already please! mcguire and anderson played 40 mins each, mcguire made 15 runs for 143 metres, and 33 tackles. anderson made 8 runs for 53 metres and 29 tackles. and most significantly for mcguire no errors or penalties!!!

3. Mcguire,
2. Reed
1. Thaiday

3. Gillett - I'm still not sure as to whether he should run on, or still provide that strike off the bench after 20min, but whenever he's on, he's ON. Perfect foil for Lockyer on the edge of the ruck, and dynamite in defence chasing down dummy half runners.

2. Reed - Only missed out on the 3 by showing he still has a bit of work to do in defence, but then again so does the entire squad.

1. Parker - Despite his radar being off (would have put the game out of golden point consideration if he'd potted 1 or 2 more) he was damaging in attack, and just needs to bump and offload a little more to be devastating.

That game could have been 20-6 if not for the sloppy defence around the middle, and the two wingers getting in each others' way. Happy mostly with the goal line defence, but some of the tackles that were shrugged off by the Warriors, and the offloads that were allowed were just embarrassing.

Great game to watch, great tries by the warriors, although the Johnson one was piss poor defending. Nothing to say about the Locke try though, pure brilliance from Maloney and great speed by the fullback.

Were it not for the individual spark brought in those two moments, Parker's radar being off, and some disgraceful refereeing in the last 15 minutes of the game, it would have never been that close really imo.

I thought Wallace did a great job guiding us through the park. Being at the game I paid special attention to his interaction with the player group and he was very active correcting positional play, talking to all the players around him, who just nodded and went about their business. It's important in light of Locky's retirement, to have a half that has the ear of the players on the paddock. He generally made the right decisions, he's taking on the line, isn't forcing the pass and had a good kicking game, with a good try assist to Reed and the field goal as the cherry on top.

McGuire and Gillett were monsters last night, especially the former who took on most of Hannant's minutes, while the latter's speed and agility for a big man, is crucial in the ruck defense and attack on the fringes. He did both so well.

The rest of the team played well, but Parker, Reed, Hodges, Thaiday and Lockyer deserve special mention. Despite his weak attempt at tackling Berro and being caught in no man's land in Johnson's try, Beale had a very strong game and showed great pace to score his try. He keeps this up and I'll gladly eat all the humble pie he dishes out!

Both me and my kid have no voice left, but it was more than worth it!

3- Wallace
2- McGuire
1- Gillett

Not sure. He came off just after the Warriors scored their second I think.

He seemed fine when coming off though.

What actually happened to Hannant ? Couldnt see from where I was sitting.

On TV they said he was icing a hip flexor injury.

His name didn't appear on the injury update on the footy show this morning, so hopefully he is ok...?

"Hannant was unable to come back for the second half and coach Griffin conceded he would be in serious doubt with the team travelling to Townsville on Thursday."
