If i have to see another back page tommorrow about Carney being so sorry and upset about how he let his team and family and fans down and how badly he wants to change, i think i'll be sick.

He does not want to change, he has been given more chances that most.
It will be worth it just for this reason.

Three adults out on the drink.

So, whats the story here? I was out with 7 mates on Friday night and we ended up getting into a minor scuffle in an eastern suburbs pub. The bouncers broke it up quick smart and we continued having a good time.

Glad the papers didn't get a hold of it and that none of you saw it. I'd be sacked, divorced and the first man to be hanged in Oz since 1967.

And I don't buy the cab thing either. Who was driving it? Nick Politis?

Thank f**k I am not a footballer.

Your not a self admitted alcoholic who's had numerous appearances in court who promised your employer you'd stay off the booze for a big $ contract..............

Pretty f**ken obvious no?

Mate the last player issued with a breach notice is no longer with the Club.

There is a due process that needs to be followed so the club cant be sued. Part of the players contract is a 5 day period to allow them time to build a defence/ case before fronting the Board thus the timeframe required.

If we go by history of breach notices, all will be gone.
Everybody read this. ^^^

Nail on the head. A breach notice is serious stuff. I'm actually feeling sorry for the Roosters atm.

Exactly.

What a contrast this week between our great club and little brother. The greatest foundation club and the shadow.

This week we make the news because of two convincing wins and our star signing talking about how happy he is with us, his optimism for our future and him starting higher education.

Meanwhile, little brother is in the headlines yet again for negative off field reasons.

It's no way to run a club.

I admire Politis for how much he's contributed to the game but I think he needs to be a little stricter down there in Bondi Junction.

We know how to run a disciplined club whose players stay out of trouble. We're very proud of our 'no dickheads' policy. Meanwhile, Mason, Myles, Carney, the Roosters happily sign every troublemaker that comes their way.

re you f**king serious? lol@Souffs are our geniused little cousins. Nothing Carney could do is as bad as lol@Souffs.

"He (Carney) will be issued with a breach notice that will cover numerous breaches to the NRL playing contract,'' Noyce said.
"He will then, as will all three, be asked to front the board to provide information in relation to those breaches.
"He has the opportunity to come with his manager and a legal representative, you take information from the player, and there's five courses of action available to the club - take no further action, caution the player, suspend the player, fine the player or terminate the contract.''
Asked if terminating the contract was a realistic option, Noyce said: "The options are there and I've been honest to say they're the five options that will be considered.''
While Noyce won't have the final say, it was clear by his mood that he'd just about had enough, having been in much the same situation on a number of occasions previously this year
...
"We were embarrassing last weekend over at Brookvale Oval and the players and the club are all committed to turning that around,'' Noyce said.
"But it's hard to look people in the eye and say you're turning it around when three players choose to be out late at night till three, four o'clock in the morning.''
They're not out of the woods yet. I could picture both Myles and Carney being sacked.

As for Carney, "numerous" breaches...some Roosters fans have been whingeing about why "every" little thing he does is broadcasted. By the sounds of that the clubs knows about things he's done that hasn't got out to the public.

The Roosters can't keep saying "We're disappointed," stand him down and then recall him when their season is in trouble. Neither the club nor the player is learning anything from these repeated infringements.
Is sacking him the answer? I can't say, but for every incident, it is not just Carney, but the Roosters that look bad. Particularly when his 'road to redemption' has more lives than Super Mario.

Just give the poor bugger what he wants . . . a release. Save him hanging around for hours in the cold waiting for a camera.

Come to think of it, looks like they're posing doesn't it. Crafty

Interesting to see that a couple NRL blokes having a drink is a "massive" news story that will stay in the headlines for ages while the constant rape and racist stories from the AFL last about 2 seconds.... i guess money can buy silence from the media and police.

How much airtime was given to Dragons inbred fans hurling racial abuse at Sandow the other week? Or when Petero copped it a couple years back?
