so Carney is coming..probably...wonder how this will turn out

lets look back on some more signings.

my top 10

1) Noddy - Came at the expense of crowd favourite, Daly M player of the year and match winner in Preston Campbell. While Noddy did have some great games for the team his overall impact was as disastrous as his mentor and coach Chris Anderson.

2) Greg Bird - For all his good work on the field ( barring the odd knee to the head )his epic fall from grace was the catalyst and spark in what would be the worst era for the club.

3) Mat Johns - Only years after he'd left did we feel the full impact of his presence.

4) Reni Matui - Came, did nothing ...fugged up big time and left

5) Darren Albert - scored one good try - but was a passenger with a free ticket but just wanted to get off.

6) Latu - played great ...One split second reaction to a nothing incident ruined him and put the club in an unworkable situation. shame.

7) Simmo - off the field was wonderful. On the field however was different story. Touted as the replacement for club legend Dave Peachey ..sadly he pissed his pants at every opportunity.

8) Tim Smith - was a Ricky Stuart panic shag. He had some talent but was gonged off by red symonds before he go through the first chorus.

9) Brett Seymour - got hammered on and off the field. Had some good form before doing his knee . Then got harassed into implosion by every fugger with a camera in town.

10) Trent Barrett - his timing in coming to the club was diabolical. Too much shyte going on around him to have any impact in any area.

"Carney is coming..."

Ben Ross ... 1st coming- through no fault of his own... Hopefully 2nd coming will be more successful.

1. Darren Mapp; Reportedly was on 220k when we signed him. We missed out on a bunch of players and went and spent 220k on Mapp for our pack thinking we needed him for life post Stevo then Ben Ross becomes available.
2.
Ben Ross round 1; 400k a season and played 45 games out of 104 possible which works out to be around 35k a game. Never played reps while at Cronulla...
3.
Josh Hannay – Nuff said
4.
Karl Filiga - Nuff said
5.
Matt Johns – Years later this killed us

I will disagree with you on that one. Just before he got injured in the panthers game his form was great. He was a better signing than Noddy and he was on a lot more.

Well Quigs is on leave, so I'll have to mention him, Vince "The Bomber" Farrar in 1974. The supposed ace ball player to replace Cliffy Watson who hated to tackle and was less fit than I am today.

Chris Anderson - Worst signing EVER.
Darren Mapp, Dustin Cooper, Josh Hannay, Cuthburtson, Vagana, Matua, Filiga, Albert, Tim Smith even Toops when you consider how much is he on.

Geezus we have signed poorly in the last 10 years.
