I hope the putting Hughes in for Warner is said in jest cause otherwise

ARE YOU F*CKING JOKING?

Two tests removed from the best individual innings of the summer that almost won Australia a test and batting through the inning. FFS!
Personally not a fan of Warner. I think he's overrated. Got one good 100, other than that he's been mostly average, impatient and out to lazy shots. Pretty similar to the return Hughes got a truckload of criticism for.

I'm convinced Hughes will be a better player than Warner when he fixes his technical issues and gets some confidence in shield and county.

My top 3 for the first test of next summer:
1. Hughes
2. Cowan
3. Khawaja

Why doesn't TT block every Kiwi poster, instead of complaining every time one posts on the forum?

Because it's an internet forum you genius

I have about 8 of the dozen or so people on my list as Kiwis.

Fast Eddie will be back on it soon.

I never had any issue with you and thought you were one of the good ones but you've turned it around this summer that being said I'm also not complaining about you.

Admittedly against NZ? Is that the NZ that rolled your top order twice and won the test match? Admittedly against Aus......

NZ is sh!t, that can't be argued. Yes NZ won the test match by all of 7 runs but 1 win does not make them good. Australia's batting lineup is woeful and it has let them down on a number of occasions but you'd struggle to find a time where NZ had a better test squad than Australia.

Our bowling attack isn't shit, which is what you were saying effectively. So yes I will argue that actually.

You really are a dopey merkin aren't you? Hughes should never come close to an Australian test side again. Watson is due back soon and I'd perservere with Warner a little longer, he carried his bat with a score of 123 only 3 weeks ago (though admittedly against NZ) so I think that has probably earned him an extra chance.
This isn't Warners second test. It's his 4th. About one and a half good innings in 4 tests. That's all Hughes did in Sri Lanka and South Africa.

And Watson is not "due back soon". It's been made pretty clear he's not good enough to be in the team until he can bowl as well. He's done little with the bat in a year. He's not a top order batsman, he should and will be 4th-6th. He has no relevance to this discussion.

Hughes (minus his outside off stump defense flaw)
Cowan
Khawaja

is the long term top 3.
don't play with goldenrod.

imagine you are reading something written by a geniused 7 year old that's never watched cricket or league - it helps.
I'm watching the cricket right now dickhead.

Time for Warner to f**k right back off to hit and giggle where he belongs. Time for Marsh just to f**k right off.

Bring back Katich for Marsh. Marsh is a T20 / One-day player at best.

Khawaja is useless atm, had enough chances
Three tests, dropped, three tests, dropped, shuffling through different positions whilst those around him also fail.

Yeah, plenty of chances.

Im happy to stick with Warner and Marsh for a bit tbh, just be interesting what happens if Watson is fit again this summer. And who of Ponting Hussey and Haddin retires after this summer

It was close to a given that at least 2 out of Australia's top 3 were going to go cheaply...and that it was likely to be Warner and certain to be Marsh.
