Game is far from over, even stevens , on a knives edge...
We need to bat well after lunch tomorrow IMO
Get a good 450-500 lead then we are in with a good chance of winning this

btw..Jane McGrath day tomorrow folks, everyone to wear pink , cant wait :D

I hope Clarke bats on tomorrow, gets to about mid 300's before declaring then India somehow bat the rest of the test out ending 9 down just to see the media and fans give it to Clarke for being selfish etc. Hilarity follows.

Not really, it just exposes the fragility of your national psyche.

There's a guy on this site with a 'Warriors 2011 Grand Finalists banner' in his sig.

New Zealand...forever celebrating mediocrity.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I'd much rather make the grand final honestly than win a grand final dishonestly. Cheating scum.

BTW- remember the team we trampled over (at home) to make it there?

INDIA'S combative batsman Virat Kohli said he gave the finger to the Sydney crowd yesterday after being taunted by vile comments regarding his mother and sister.

Just as it seemed relations between Australia and India were developing positively after the Monkeygate affair in 2008, tensions have risen again in Sydney following the incident.

Kohli was fielding near the boundary in front of a group of rowdy Australian fans when he flipped the bird, and was caught by photographers.

Kohli defended his actions last night on Twitter, writing: “i agree cricketers dont have to retaliate. what when the crowd says the worst things about your mother and sister. the worst ive heard”.

Kohli found some support from England cricketer Kevin Pietersen who tweeted, "@imVkohli ha ha ha ha ha!!! Welcome to Australia buddy!!" and "that's the way it is mate.. Beat them & they start abusing their own!! #fickle."

Kohli has a reputation as one of the team’s aggressors but could face sanctioning from the Board of Control in India for his outburst.

Both sides have made a point of highlighting the progress in relations between them since the infamous Test four years ago when Harbhajan Singh was accused of racially abusing Andrew Symonds, and then captain Anil Kumble claimed after the match that Australia did not play within the spirit of the game.

But Kohli’s finger suggests some Indian players still feel far from welcome in this country.

These opportunities very rarely present themselves. Clarke can bat through to 300-350 at least without jeopardizing the result for the team. I hope he does so. It will be a tremendous achievement for him to get through to triple figures and perhaps signals his coming of age as Australia's premier batsmen and leader. Would be good to see Hussey get a century as well.

I don't have a problem with a player doing the fingers to a section of morons in the crowd.

Bloody precious, the Aussie press. 'Tensions were at boiling point' the other day at the PM's function and 'Kohli flips out' here. And you blokes slurp it up.

In saying that, the NZ press and public is just as bad

It's the Daily Telegraph, what do you expect? They sensationalise everything.

As for Kohli, absolutely no issue with what he did. I hate the attitude that so many of the general public seem to have that it's acceptable to yell out all kinds of abuse to sportsmen but they're not allowed to respond.

I remember years back Brian MacMillan doing something similar to me and some mates at a PMs XI match, we all thought it was hilarious and no fuss was made by anyone else who saw it.

As long as they don't go overboard (like Brett Finch throwing a bottle at a crowd of Bulldogs supporters) then what's the harm?

Also I don't think Michael Clarke will be playing with a cleanskin bat for too long.
Wonder why Slazenger ditched him
His contract was up and he decided not to renew it, don't be suprised to see him picked up by Puma who have struggled since Gilly gave it away.
