Penrith definitely have a massive pack for SG Ball. I can't believe the Doggies let go of the new Penrith centre, Uafu Lavaka. Discounting any serious injury that kid will be in the NSW U/18's and Australian Schoolboys teams this year. But for biased CHS officials Lavaka would have achieved schoolboy success last year. CHS's loss will now be CCC's gain in 2012.

Anyway congratulations to the Penrith Ball side, however it is worth noting that the Doggies did not play their top 15 boys today. Their coach was giving maximum game time to the 20 something player left who were today competing for the final 10 places!

Regards,
Tuc

I can't believe how strong Robert Jennings is for his age. When he carts it up the middle out of Dummy Half the opposition forwards have so much trouble trying to bring him down.

After watching the junior rep trails yesterday we have plenty of good young forwards coming through, some good outside backs, but the cupboard is still bare on good quality halves.

Neither side used their top selection for more than a single half - but the quality of play right through all teams from the 15s to the 18s from both sides seemed pretty high.
Looking forward to the season.

Riki Willie was outstanding at Fullback for Matts in the 2010 Premiership winning team. Could be him?
