It will be interesting to see how many players Pricey will name for this trial against the dogs. If his going to pllay two different teams for each half I assume he'll name about 40 players.

Trial 'no worries' for Top Dog Des Hasler

Newly installed Bulldogs coach Des Hasler will make his first appearance as the club's leader when the side takes on a scaled-down St George Illawarra outfit at WIN Stadium on Saturday night.
The dual-premiership winner will travel to Wollongong for what will be his first outing as Canterbury coach since a tumultuous parting of ways with Manly last year.
The Dragons and the Bulldogs are today expected to nominate under-strength rosters when they announce their teams for the annual clash.
Distinguished Kangaroos and NSW Origin forward Steve Roach, who was Hasler's assistant for three years at Manly from 2004, believes his former colleague will take no time at all to settle into the blue and white of the Bulldogs.
"He's unbelievably dedicated to the cause now he's at the Bulldogs, just as he was when coaching at Manly," Roach said of Hasler (pictured).
"He's a professional coach and trials are exactly that: trials. I don't think he'll be worried about it in the slightest."
Despite the nature of the annual trial, Roach expects Hasler's competitive streak to play some part in the Bulldogs' approach to the match.
"I'm sure he'd love to win. It doesn't matter whether you play tiddlywinks, Dessy's that sort of bloke," Roach said.
"He's a highly competitive coach, definitely."
Both the Dragons and Bulldogs are expected to today announce teams largely void of NRL-experienced players.
The Dragons will field the majority of Paul McGregor's Illawarra NSW Cup side while Hasler is expected to blood several new faces in the Bulldogs side.
Automatic player scratchings from the game include the Dragons hooker Nathan Fien and winger Jason Nightingale - both playing in the NRL All Stars side the same night - and captain Ben Hornby, who succumbed to a thigh injury during training last week.
The Bulldogs, too, will be without Frank Pritchard (NRL All Stars) and Ben Barba (Indigenous All Stars).
The Dragons won last year’s equivalent trial against the Bulldogs 28-14.
Meanwhile, St George Illawarra have been extended to $15 outsiders (TAB Sportsbet) to win this year’s premiership. Wests Tigers remain favourites ($8), closely followed by Manly, Melbourne and Newcastle ($9).
