Wouldn't want any unconfirmed rumours....

This bloke played for Wests in the nineties..Think his name was Brendan???
He is a Bishop now, available to confirm any unconfirmed rumours.

Too clear the issue, I just contacted someone within the club and they have told me that it's only a 2 year deal - confirmed.

The deal still needs to be fine tuned by the NRL and also needs to get his VISA cleared.
which deal is that? radradra?

Heard an interesting rumour from a relative of one Braith Anasta that the Roosters are
Trying to offload him to get $BW and that he's tossing up between us and Souths.
He reckons Souths are more likely though because of their lack of halves.

I'd like anasta for maybe 1 year for leadership values I guess but not overly fussed unless he comes cheap

Rate the NRL player transfers; which club has recruited best for the 2012 NRL premiership?

Parramatta Eels

IN:

Chris Sandow, 23, halfback, (Rabbitohs)
His exit from South Sydney upset a large group of Rabbitohs fans, and the Eels will be hoping he continues his upward trajectory in 2012. His defence can be questionable but he'll be a valuable asset in attack, taking some of the heat off superstar Jarryd Hayne.

Ben Roberts, 26, five-eighth, (Bulldogs)
Incredibly skillful but equally inconsistent, Roberts failed to cement a regular spot with the Bulldogs. And with Sandow providing the fireworks, coach Steve Kearney may go for a steadier player in Casey McGuire or Matt Keating to play in the No.6 jersey.

Esi Tonga, 23, centre/wing, (Titans)
The younger brother of Willie, Esi Tonga is capable of big things but hasn't yet started to deliver on his talent. Will be interesting to see how Kearney uses the brothers; on the same side of the field, or split-up as a centre pairing.

Joseph Paulo, 24, utility, (Panthers)
Hoping to find his way into the mix in the Eels, backrow, Seffa Paulo moved to the Panthers' western Sydney rivals mid-season last year. One of Kearney's strengths is getting the best out of Polynesian players so it will be interesting to see if Paolo makes some big strides forward in 2012.

Taulima Tautai, 23, centre/wing, (Sharks)
Returning to the Eels after a two-year stint at the Sharks, Tautai adds depth to an outside backs department brimming with talent. Has had a lean couple of years in the try-scoring department, and will need to lift his output to get regular minutes.

Willie Tonga, 28, centre, (Cowboys)
Tonga showed in last year's Origin series that he's still one of the top three or four centres in the game. A true X-factor player, Tonga will be hoping to take advantage of the flamboyant halves inside him to set up another good year in 2012.

Jamil Hopoate, 17, lock, (Sea Eagles)
The younger brother of Will, good judges believe Jamil will be every bit as good as last year's Origin sensation in the coming years. Probably won't feature in first grade in 2012 but the future is bright for this young lock.

Jon Mannah, 22, prop, (Sharks)
Joins his brother Tim at the Eels and will be hoping to make a similar impact. Tim Mannah had a stunning 2011, rising to Origin selection but Jon's career has been less spectacular at the Sharks. Nonetheless, he will play an important role in his new club's front-row rotation.

Semi Radradra, 19, centre/wing (Fiji Sevens)
A bit of an unknown quantity, Radradra was snapped up by the Eels after impressing in a Rugby Sevens tournament attended by Kearney. Blessed with blistering pace and good handling skills Radradra could prove to be a handy find if he is given a start.

OUT: Jeff Robson (Sharks), Paul Whatuira (retired), Joel Reddy (Wests Tigers), Chris Walker (released), Chris Hicks (retired), Carl Webb (retired), Tom Humble (Wests Tigers), Daniel Tupou (Roosters), Etu Uaisele (Panthers), Manase Manuokafoa (Bradford), Daniel Mortimer (Roosters).

The article above suggests that Jamil is a lock and not a central back rower.

Pou Pou may argue that the author's credibility is tainted though, firstly by suggesting Tautai was signed as a three quarter, and secondly that Matt Keatong may start the season at 6.

Pretty sure that Tautai played a heap of his matches for Sharks in 2012 in the forwards, which would explain the lack of tries.
