A tough side to predict and could finish anywhere on the ladder.

Ultimately though I think they're hamstrung by two over the hill players filling key positions in Minichiello & Anasta. It'd be alright if they had superstars in other positions but really the rest of the side is relatively young or inexperienced and I don't think they'll have the consistency to carry the side.

The big thing for them this year is just watching how much their forward pack and backline develops. They have a lot of genuine prospects there and it'll be cool to see which ones step up and take their games to the next level.

Too bad out forward pack is playing without a decent half or 5/8. We get one next year when half of them won't be here.

Who's coming off contract?

I'd imagine O'Sullivan would have most of them signed on for a couple of seasons.

So your admitting you won't back your comments and that you expect the dogs to finish higher then the roosters.

Thanks, i won't bother replying to your troll posts anymore, this has surely put an end to your stupid dribble. If not you've still admitted you know the dogs will be better.

Sprung.

I am happy to take that bet as long as you take the wooden spoon bet as well.

I think

JWH
Tasi
Cordner
Leilua
Mose
Cherrington

I think Mose re-signed, I can't remember. There's a few off contract this year. Guerra was off contract, cant remember if he re-signed either.

Wouldn't be surprised to see most of them stick around.

Unless Smith decides to scare them away it's a non-issue.

Tasi isn't off contract until next year.

The rest will be here next year bar possibly Leilua, Guerra is the one we'll struggle to keep. He signed a one year extension so he'll be off contract this year.

We'll keep most of those. The main targets should be JWH, Tasi, Cordner, Masoe. I don't think Leilua has what it takes in the backline - would have preferred Linnett tbh. And it will be interesting to see whether Cherrington is even worth keeping

I don't expect Mini to be around next year. Is Anasta signed for this year or next?

Cherrington needs a full season under his belt to prove his worth, considering how much patience you guys had with Mini and his long term injury woes and still could turn out good for you. From all reports he has the talent jsut sh!thouse luck (or bad karma as it's been said elsewhere)

Leilua would be a gun second rower but he's not needed. Seems to be a Smith favourite though, he'll find a place for him in the 17.

I'd like to see how Leilua performs in the centres.

He seems to struggle with all the positional play on the wing, but at centre he could be the goods.

I agree he seemed much more comfortable at centre than wing, but giving up Leilua over Linnett. Leilua will also be taking Moga's centre spot, although I think if Moga works out he'll be shifted to centre before the year ends.

BJ may struggle to hold a spot in the centres if Moga proves to be as good as expected..

And he certainly isn't a winger..

Dont have high expectations for 2012, hoping for 9th-12th and challenging for a place in the 8. Worst case i would settle for finishing higher than souths

Still, its hard to frame any teams expectations and likely position

No way they let Cordner go, he'll be in rep discussions by this time next year.

Slowiola killed it in 2005. I'm waiting before I get Moga fever.

I'd like to see how Leilua performs in the centres.

He's already done well in the centres in the very limited time Smith out him there. It's ludicrous he played wing, ever.

Yeah I heard he played a bit of centre at the back end of the season and played reasonably well. Would like to see how he goes after a full season.

What's the latest with SBW?

I went with 13th through 16th but good form could see em make a push for 8th ... one of the worst rosters in the comp but it will be hard to write anyone off completely this year

That's a circus so who knows really. Done deal since 2005 so I'll ignore it until if/when the contract is inked but bring him on I say. We need some sort of X factor because there's really no spark in the team unless Moga becomes the second coming.

Obviously the preference would be somebody like Locke over SBW. Fullback has been a black hole since Minichiello got driven in to the ground 6 odd years ago.

I think Masoe is extended. The others are off contract although Tasi may of re-signed can't remeber. Not like it would cost alot to keep any of them.
