They had another amateur moment today on the newcastle broadcast during the adverts, 2 signals playing over the top of each other both clearly 2sm adverts and news.

Don't like adrian. Everyone has opinions, but geez he is out of touch with the baseball and nfl comments today. Especially amoung teeny boppers american sports are very popular.

p.s does anyone know how Talkin sport's ratings go? They demographic that calls in seems to be mostly 60+

Would be interesting to see how John Laws is going. Still miles ahead of everyone else he is up against. But the callers.....where do 2SM find these people, or how do they find 2SM?

I heard that...standard 2SM.
Adrian is good cause he pushes the hosts buttons and he makes them angry. It is good that someone puts it out there than someone like Kurt rave on about horses for 10 mins, or Clem talking about his son or his honeymoon.
And yes Gavin is an annoying tosser who kills the show everytime he opens his mouth.

Correct. 2SM don't participate in the ratings. Not sure about their "network" stations

Having said that how can a station simply "not participate"?

Although Lawsy rates well in the regional areas where 2SM takes it's feed to (e.g. #1 in Newcastle), in the crucial Sydney market where he is based in, John Laws only has a 0.36% (one ninth of the other 3.3%) total share on his timeslot, compared to Ray Hadley, whose 1st with 17.7%. That's right, a WHOPPING 0.36%! No wonder 2SM no longer participates in the ratings, given their drawcard presenter can't even get 1% of the total share in his timeslot.

Sadly, Laws has become a shadow of his former self. I don't know how much he has been getting paid during his comeback at 2SM, but I don't think he'd be working for peanuts considering he was getting $86,500/week towards the end of his tenure at 2UE:

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if 2SM have been calling ppl at places like RSL clubs and pubs, and have also asked them and Kurt, Clem et al. to call in. It's no coincidence that it's the saaaaame people and same types of people who are calling in. With a radio station whose overall share of the ratings is as small as it is, there surely cannot be enough ppl listening to it to attractive more callers than the current mob that are calling in.
