Yep, some great names there AND some absolute nuffies too. Much like the NSW sides from the last 6 years

The majority of whom(the highlighted) I named specifically in that same post as needing to be dropped before QLD could make progress.Much like NSW need to do in order to become competitive, unlike the last 6 years .

Edit:
I however included Thorn and Sing in the list of who needed to be dropped.Thorn because like Gallen he was a workhorse but a blockhead.Sing because he was well past his use by date.
Crocker is one of those guys who really doesn't offer much in the way of talent yet seems to work well with the other Origin guys.Kind of a second-rate version of Nate Myles.

RBM - Gallen isn't an Origin player?

You're also wrong about Mal's approach in 2006.

Pete,

I'm happy to talk about Mal's approach in a PM.I only mentioned Mal because of the post which said:

"Don't feed me that dribble about QLD Administration and coaches, a bunch of ex-player pissheads doesn't make a good side."

I wished to illustrate that many of the stellar individuals who have played the key roles in QLD's success of the last 6 years were playing in 2005.The key that wasn't there was Mal at the helm and the fact that we desperately needed to cut-loose some dead wood.Mal cut that dead wood loose and revamped the side.He had the good sense to retain the better players and he also brought in better game plans and tactics for those players.Yet his role is constantly minimised by the NSW hacks.

Ask the players about the difference between 2005,where Lockyer/Thurston/Smith/Slater/Price/Civo and other players who have been a part of our 6years of success were present, yet we couldn't win,and 2006 onward. They will tell you that Mal played the crucial role in getting the turnaround.

I don't know exactly what you are saying about Mal's approach,so I invite a PM.

Some players operate well at club and even international level yet aren't cut out for Origin, because Origin is the toughest arena in Rugby League. No international or club team or game is anything like the challenge of Origin.

Gallen brings his work ethic to Origin.Apparently for many that is sufficient.I have always been of the Opinion that he is one of many who are costing NSW at Origin level. That is what I mean by 'dud'.He has many good qualities, winning Origins or not being a liability at Origin level are not qualities that I see in him. That's my opinion.Others including yourself see it differently.

what's the point of discussing poor selections without viable alternatives?

You have a selector, that is Ricky Stuart. That is his job,not mine.

I'm happy that Gallen,Gidley,Ennis,Pearce and one or two others are running on for NSW.Why would I suggest who should be their replacements?

I'm just saying that, in my opinion,as long as they all participate QLD will continue winning.

It could be that only one or two of them would have to go to make a difference. It would be a big improvement for NSW if they were all gone.Again that is my opinion which many do not share.

There are aspects of Lockyer's game which I didn't like. Not his defense which was always touted as a weakness by many.He used to have an irritating habit of passing a ball to thin air.Passing a ball in an offload to a section of the paddock where there was no-one within coee, while there were plenty of available players who could have received a pass and indeed were standing ready to receive a pass.He was incredibly guilty of it during the years that we were losing.I don't know whether Mal put a rocket up him over it when he came on board, but he only did it a very few times in the 6 years of our success.

There are criticisms I hold of many of the players involved in our 6 years of success. Some seem to have finally overcome their stupid habits. Some of our QLD players scare me.They are such one-sided players that I understand why they have been chosen, but their liabilities have me almost angry at times.Because they are current players,I will not say one word about who they are or what it is that irritates the shit out of me.Those things are Ricky Stuart's job to analyse. Not the place for a QLD supporter to broadcast on public forums.

So basically you have nfi.

Okay then.

I won't disabuse you of your opinion. If it keeps NSW in the dark.Yep,I have NFI.

They can keep him in the side for as long as they like.Keep him there forever in fact.I love the guy.Pearce and Gidley and Ennis too.

Suits me fine.I never get bored of seeing QLD win.

So who do you think NSW should select RBM? Take your Qld hat off for a second and actually put something of substance on the line for once, after all this is a thread about who should be in the side for 2012.

Im predicting the usual "I want NSW to pick such and such so Qld can win 7" response but I had to put it out there

Your opinion bears no influence on Mal or Ricky.

It's a cop out pure and simple.

If Paul Gallen was a Queenslander he'd be a walk up start in Mals origin side.

Cronulla have achieved a lot with Gallen in their side,as their captain.

He might well get selected if he was a QLDer.He'd still scare me as a QLD fan if he was there. We wouldn't have won 2011 if he was in our side.

As a passionate Blue I will tell you right now that I f**king hate Dicky Stuart. I definitely think he is an overrated hack. The premiership he won as a coach was nothing to be proud of and I think that even Brian Smith could've won the comp with that Roosters team.

You left out glorious refereeing without that they/he had buckleys.

It's a cop out pure and simple.

A drop of water doesn't flood a town, yet it is drops of water added together that wash away lives and dreams.

I won't add even one single insignificant drop of water to anything that helps NSW and disadvantages QLD.

I might be the greatest fool in the entire world, but even the greatest fool says something which is the truth. If someone whose opinion that I had absolutely no regard for at all told me that my house was on fire,I'd be inclined to check his story out,if for no better reason than I value having a place to sleep at night, and my house fulfills that need.

I might not know sh*t,but if some tiny little thing that I said caused someone somewhere to consider something that they hadn't considered, not because of what I'd said but because it had triggered them to consider something else anyways, then I'd want to be sure that the person I'd inspired was someone who's advantage I'd want to see furthered. Not someone who's advantage I'd not want to see furthered.

Gallen can stay where he is with my blessing.Anything that NSW needs to know about the deficiencies in his game, they need to figure-out for themselves.

The same goes for who they should be selecting. They love Gallen,Gidley,Pearce,Ennis and some others.Nothing that I say would sway their opinion of those guys. Not even the evidence of history will sway Stuart's opinion of those guys.

I'd call that stupidity,but hey I've got NFI. :D

You've already highlighted those players as poor selections so you've 'dropped' your water or so to speak.

C'mon, tell us what's so terrible about a front row forward who makes 200m+ a game? Preferably in 25 words or less because I dislike sifting through your diatribes of endless poorly spaced commas.

lol The ego on this guy

Admit it RBM, you have nothing and are too piss weak to back your bullshit up when you get called out. Pete has exposed you for the fraud you are and you continue to hide behind the laughable notion that what you post here can have even a remote chance of influencing the outcome of a footy match.

And people call Bunniesman deluded
