Unlike the imaginary AMNRL clubs, Spinner has actually built a developmental structure to cultivate and develop tallent. Something Nui wouldn't understand.

Spinner has been doing a great job down there. But lets not take any thing away from some of the AMNRL clubs. There are REAL teams in the AMNRL that are doing a good job of developing local domestic talent.

The Raiders and Sharks both recruited and developed a good number of athletes that were new to rugby league. I think their coaching staffs are doing a great job of developing local players who love the game and also setting themselves up for future success.

Being associated with the AMNRL is automatically going to bring into question the intentions and legitimacy of any affiliated clubs though, regardless of their actual merits or how progressive they may be. I'm not saying it's justified, but it's almost certainly going to happen.

Looks like Akarika Dawn has been added to the USA squad without having played a single game for the AMNRL. I was of the understanding that he had to play with the AMNRL for one at least game before he was eligible. If this is the case then I have officially lost all respect for the AMNRL. It seems I am a slow learner.

It will be interesting to see how such a loose canon player such as Dawn will fair in international comp.

Watch the online Axemen games and see how out of control he is. Not a good mix for top level RL

I, along with the Axemen organization, do not agree with the process of selection nor the choices that our players are being FORCED to make to be able to have a chance at selection to play for their country. We do however wish Akarika the very best and support him in his efforts to play for his country, the highest honor any athlete can achieve. We do NOT feel he is a loose cannon and he would certainly not rate at the top of the list of our players who sometimes use "passionate" tactics.

I lost faith in David Nui years ago after the ridiculous idea of the NRLUS professional comp. It was always doomed as how can you have a professional league without any junior development of any kind. I commend David for his trailblazing he has achieved in the US but it seems he is trying to build a skyscraper from the top down and he really needs to pass the baton on and stop running the AMNRL as a dictatorship. From my point of view it seems that the quick results with the national team is his main focus rather then actually developing the game from the ground up and sustaining a long term future for the greatest game of all.
