Nothing against Benji, but I am sick and tired of seeing, reading and hearing about him. Having him shoved in front of me every minute of the day. All the years I have been following the game I have never come across a player who has received the amount of media hype he does. In fact he is way over hyped. Some in the media treat him like royalty. It's sickening.

I watch TV and all they want to talk about is Benji. I pick up a newspaper and I find Benji plastered all over the back page. Phil Gould never shuts up about him. Sometimes I wonder if Benji is Phil's love child or not.

Can the Sydney media get over him, please. He is not the best player in the game today let alone all-time. Yet to listen to some people in Sydney media talk you would swear Benji could walk on water.

I don't hate Benji, but it's heading that way.

Yeh he really helped by allowing Cronulla to score of a forward pass,and saying Galloway took his advantage from the kick and also allowing Benji to be shoulder charged after kicking the ball,and letting Cronulla win the penalty count.

The way the media and sport community wank off Marshall is beyond a joke. It's like they man-love for Benji and it's just geniused. The guy is a good player but geez there are many other note worthy players.

Marshall kicked a field goal and they call it a masterful performance? So f**king what? Soward kicked a field goal to win us the game where is that headline article pasted everywhere? Where is his parade and media jerk fest. He is seriously the most over-used merkin in the face of the NRL and how that grub can be the face of rugby league over many other note-worthy players is beyond me.

FYI, The charge-down on Carney was off marker. Sharks should have been awarded that penalty.

I call it cheating. Robbie Farah going down with a cramp in the dying moments after his long touch-finder and jog to the scrum so his teammates could suck 'em in and hopefuly put in a good set in defence. Of course it's smart to get away with whatever the rules allow, my beef is with the rulemakers. If it's to the disadvantage of the team in possession, the player has to go off until the ball next goes dead, i.e. the end of the set.

I think the OP is being harsh, players were going down with cramp with regularity in the preceding 10-15 minutes. It was about 30 degrees and about 70% humidity (according to radio reports).

You cannot determine if a player is suffering cramp or faking it in the 78th minute when players had been suffering the same ailment previous to his.

If you call it cheating, you need help.

Cramp is hardly life threatening, as said play on and if they want to lay there they can do so for as long as they like, it only disadvantages their own team.
