KNIGHTS coach Wayne Bennett has poached another of St George Illawarra's international stars, adding Beau Scott to the growing collection of former Dragons to follow him to Newcastle.
The man who guided the Dragons to premiership glory in 2010 has dealt his former club another huge blow just days into the first season of the post-Bennett era, luring their enforcer to Newcastle next season.
The NSW and Australian back-rower has agreed to a lucrative four-year deal, which the
Herald understands has riled St George Illawarra, who have now lost Scott, Darius Boyd, Adam Cuthbertson and boom rookie Alex McKinnon to the Knights since Bennett announced he would be joining them last year.

The Dragons were desperate to retain their rep star but the appeal of rejoining Bennett on a contract believed to be worth close to $2 million for four years proved impossible for Scott to turn down.
The
Herald understands Scott finalised the deal with the Knights last week, but it remains unclear whether he informed his teammates of the decision.
His manager, Steve Gillis, said last night that Scott informed the Dragons' senior playing group of his decision earlier this week, before informing the rest of his teammates following yesterday's training session at WIN Stadium.
But one Dragons player told the
Herald last night: ''I didn't even know anything about that
I was watching the [Friday night] footy and heard them talk about it, then I checked my phone. There's been no talk about it at training.''
Either way, the announcement will come as a shock to the Dragons and their supporters, especially given the timing, only 24 hours before their round two match against the Bulldogs.
Scott had been in negotiations with the Dragons, Knights and ''three or four other clubs'', for months, according to Gillis.
