Great comeback guys. When you guys can hold the ball you can play some bloody good footy.

Best of luck next week.

After an abysmal first half I thought we showed a lot of character to score 20 points......at times though there is no shape or structure to our side and we looked as though we didnt know what to do with the ball when in possession......one area Price needs to work on with the players is to put pressure on the opposition kicker....Wallace had all the time in the world whilst Soward was constantly under the pump.......speaking of Soward gee I wish he would run the ball more... at times when he does he looks a million dollars, and Im sure if he does he will find his grubbers are much more effective and supported from players like we saw from Morris tonight...alah Cronk and Slater.

First half was one to forget, but Brisbane were good enough to take advantage.

Big wrap for Price, not sure what was said at half time but obviously the guys responded.

You can't give up that sort of lead and expect to win, but to not give up and get back in the game shows real character, plenty of positives in that 2nd half.

I disagree. Football is an 80 minute game and a good second half doesn't make up for a disgraceful first half. The Broncos were good and had a mountain of possession but only because we couldn't complete our sets. Sometimes things don't go your way and you can get behind by 10 or 12 in matches but this team needs to adapt to that and get into the grind. Instead we always look shell shocked. We turned up with that stinky attitude again and that is something I cannot stand. You need to compete for the full 80 minutes every week and if you lose then you can at least hold your head high. But turning up and putting in a poor first half is not going to cut it.

Was a good comeback in the 2nd half...we should win plenty of games if we show the steel to come back like that after that 1st half.

Couple of points:

Style had his best game and looks the goods at centre. Shows the value of having actual backs in the back line.

Unfortunately, looks like Scott has clocked off for the year. His head just doesn't seem in it, probably coz he has the Knights and Bennett on his mind. Couple of very ordinary games this year.

Oh well....onto next week.

Hopefully this will be the last time we see a backrower playing as a centre for the Dragons anytime soon. I still think they need more creativity in the halves. Broncos and Dragons show it isn't always necessary but I wonder how good they would be. I'm still in favor of giving K. Stanley a chance there and moving his brother to centre.

Geez we got owned in that first half. We just couldn't compete. Even before the first Brisbane try I felt we were only just hanging on. The scum will try the same thing next week as well. I feel we are really missing some aggression in the back row. I feel we have a front row with good mongrel but the back row is a little too workman like for mine. JDB does look to be filling that role though.
Positives for mine from the game were the character we showed to come back in the second half. We could have very easily given up and had a big score put on us. Hornby still has a lot to offer this team. That pass for Style was class. Also a great little catch and kick in one motion to force a drop out late in the game. Merrin is a machine. That hit up with 3 defenders hanging off him was inspirational. Horse... thought he was trying hard in the first half in a pack that was really getting dominated. Noticed at least one set were he took two hit ups. Also, I reckon Gillette is still hurting from that bump off.
Bmoz continues to look good at the back. I hope Pricey keeps him there. Imagine how good he will be at the back end of the season.

Sadly I think Beau has already left us. His form so far this season has been lacking and very reminiscent of Boyd last season in that his heart just doesn't seem to be in it.

i think we need to work on ball security..it just kills me when we lose a ball whilst in possession. there must be a way to tuck it in and not just have it plop out as it seems to happen so often.

i can understand in wet weather...but some days you just feel like each tackle has the potential to be a loss of possession.

but having said that, we will get better. although ive given up on beau scott and prior.

Bugger! that 1st half was crap. a couple poorly defended tries.Should have held up that 1st try,Morris was there alone while a few guys watched on?? U can't give away 20 points and crawl that back without playing catch-up football which = risk taking!
I don't know i just see lapses in defence and attitude that cost us. And what's up with Ben Creagh, not quite on the money with some fumbles.
Morris as usual150% effort. Vidot looked awkward in that last line of defence with that last Broncos try. Hornby pass to Stanley "poetry".
Il still see plenty of room for improvement in the boys...darn it close but no cigar.
Go Dragons!!

Completely agree. Got no problem with him signing with tinkles and his merry knights, but FFS, he is not a centre and hasn't been for a while. I don't undertsand all the recruitment of backs and then we persist with Scott at centre. Get him back to a position he can play or move him on. He did some good things tonight, but not at centre.

Creagh should be used better. He has a great offload but no one trails him. He can be a real threat close to line but we have gravitated away from the old Hornby/Creagh short ball/angle run. Whilst I do agree we need to get the second rowers out of the centres, I don't think its the team of players we have that is costing us. It is just attitude. The first half we turned up with the same attitude as the Bulldogs game. No respect for possession and getting into the grind. Lack of attention to detail. The try that McCullough scored really showed the attitude for me. Rein was just going through the motions expecting him to pass to Wallace for the kick. You don't clock off at marker like that when your attitude is where it should be. Beau Scott f**king dropped that ball because his head wasn't where it should have been. The team need to fire the f**k up!!!!

Some positives first:

Merrin - Loving his hit ups, impossible to tackle
De Belin - That tackle on Thaiday was one for the highlight reel
Hornby's pass to Stanley - Superb execution
Morris - Impressed with his one on one and last ditch tackles, saved at least a couple of tries

Now onto the bad:

Ball control - Horrific in the first half
Beau Scott - Pretty ordinary, plus he was playing backrow too
5th tackle kicks - The last couple of kicks at the end were such wastes, I think overall some 5th options weren't good, definitely got a long way to go here

What I wanna see:

Despite Soward having 3 try assists, I seriously want him to run the ball more. He's getting too one dimensional, I mean Mullen showed that how dangerous he can be when he runs the ball. He was criticised for not taking on the line enough. Tonight, he proved how dangerous he is when he runs close to the line. Well, Sowie... RUN it.

Beau Scott / Matt Prior in the centres = Guarantee loss to the Dragons. Nathan Green did well when he was put in the centres why not persist with him. He can't go any worse than the back rowers. Prior and Scott should be used as Back rowers only and nothing else.

AMEN! They were terrible in the centres.

We were missing C Stanley and Coops so I guess that explains the back rowers in the centres.

Can't be too hard on Prior given the week he's had, he'll bounce back.

As for Scott, hope he gets his head right soon. Not impressing at the moment.
