No. THIS is the post of the day. Here is our winner!

we have a late contender.....

This club is a sports club and should be performance based. We aren’t here to hold your hand or rock you to sleep we are here to perform and here to win. If you can't win with all the resources of the club at your disposal, admit that to yourself and go elsewhere. Be the bigger person and put the goals of the club before personal goals.

I don't have your patience mate. This forum used to be pretty good, it's since turned into a toilet. Figured my time could be better spent elsewhere.

Loosely translated that means I found a few new Internet porn sites and forgot about this joint.

Can't blame you really.
There is however, the odd highlight. I've made new friends, mainly True Eel. He's a real character. Bart is still his positive self, and Casper just opens my eyes to the world.
It's a great place to frequent. It really lifts my spirits about the Eels.

maybe not his fault but its kearney's responsibility to find out why its happening and try to train it out of him

That petty shit is for under 10s coaches. It's up to NRL players to take some ownership and learn those lessons themselves.

If Kearney can't rely on Roberts to keep simple errors out of his game it's up to Kearney to drop him. Insulting his intelligence won't help anyone.

Anyway, the reason Roberts had such a bad game (his first bad game this year) was from lack of mental preparation for the match. Whatever he was doing right the first seven weeks, he wasn't doing prior to Sunday's game.

Given Roberts has a history of random, intermittent shithouse performances, it's likely that he has a pattern of finding good form, resting on his laurels, and going into every nth game completely unprepared.

And I agree it's Kearney's job to address this. Maybe Roberts needs his arse kicked every single week no matter how well he's playing? But there's the danger of alienating him. A player in good form doesn't want to cop a beasting because he might f**k up, even if he has a history of it. It's likely that the best way to manage Ben Roberts is to keep him for his seven out of eight good games, and accept the inevitability of that shit one every two months.

Roberts was our worst player on Sunday but there were plenty of other poor performers in both the handling and defensive stakes. If they'd played with some consistency we could have carried Roberts' off day and still won.

what a complete f#$kwit you are posting this sort of pandering crap about Roberts and then trying to enforce YOUR sacred opinions about everything else in the game as gospel...

- What laurels does Roberts ahve to rest on exactly?
- If you know of a way to alienate Roberts, please let SK know and he may be gone soon with any luck (cause it appears that we wont be getting rid of SK anytime soon....)
- Carry Roberts on an off day, GTFO with that crap, no NRL team should be making allowances to carry any player at any stage - unless that player plays with a niggling injury, or that team wants to lose

what a load of shit Pou Pou, even for you

they won't have a choice the pressure from sponsors, fans and especially the media will force them to sack him

I hear what you are saying, but mate, that pressure would and should have already forced his sacking in Rugby League by now, or before this point. As far as sponsor pressure goes, I think that is indeed the biggest obstacle to having him sacked. Pirtek and Glen Duncan seem to be running the show at Parra and it appears that:

Pirtek Parramatta Eels + Pirtek NZ Kiwis = Stephen Kearney being backed to the nth degree
