that's what I say when half my girls are late to a game. 1 to bowl from each end, one to keep and one to field

The truth is that you need 7 or your forfeit by default

Perth and Hobart squads look pretty strong.

Im a Thunder fan and I hope they can attract better players this time. Heard they signed Dirk Nannes.

In Stuart Clark's opinion.

Last year he wanted to sign Chris Gayle, Shuan Marsh and David Warner.

I'd settle for Lumb, Dwayne Bravo and N.McCullum again, personally.

(As overseas players).

Brisbane Heat set to announce signing of Australia all-rounder Shane Watson for KFC T20 Big Bash League
By Ben Dorries The Courier-Mail
July 18, 2012

One of cricket's most imposing all-rounders, Shane Watson, will return to Queensland to play for Brisbane Heat - adding to the dramatic exodus of players from New South Wales.

The Heat will have lured the Australia Test vice-captain star away from the Sydney Sixers, last year's KFC T20 Big Bash League winners.

Although Watson did not play a game for the Sixers because of injury - and would be unlikely to play much for the Heat this summer because of Australian committments - his promotional value is enormous.

The 31-year-old is one of the world's most recognisable cricketers and the Heat would also be licking their lips using the celebrity of Watson and his TV presenter wife Lee Furlong as a prime marketing tool.

It is a return to where it all began for the Ipswich-born Watson who shone as a teenager in Brisbane before leaving to make his first-class debut in Tasmania, then returning to Queensland again before settling in NSW.

While netting Watson is a major coup for the Heat, it is another kick in the pants for cricket in NSW as he becomes the latest in a long line of Sydney-based players to be signed elsewhere.
Sauce

what a stupidly written article. The headline clearly states that is unconfirmed, but the article says it's happening. Bloody Queenslanders

If I supported any of these franchises, I would make a rumour about Malinga joining the franchise I support too ...

this as well from that article I linked in my last post
There were several other moves on Thursday, with the Melbourne Renegades hitting back at the Adelaide Strikers after they poached Andrew McDonald and Shaun Tait from the Renegades over the past fortnight. The Renegades have picked up three men who performed solidly for the Strikers last season: Daniel Harris, who was the Strikers' second-leading run scorer; Aaron O'Brien, who was their top wicket taker; and the batsman Tom Cooper.

In other moves, the Sydney Thunder picked up Doug Bollinger from the Sydney Sixers, Ryan Carters from the Renegades and Cameron Borgas from the Strikers. The wicketkeeper-batsman Daniel Smith, who played for the Thunder last summer, has moved to the Sixers.

The Sixers also re-signed Mitchell Starc and Nic Maddinson, while the Melbourne Stars were happy to lock in six key bowlers: James Pattinson, Clint McKay, Jackson Bird, James Faulkner, John Hastings and Clive Rose. The Thunder, as well as signing Bollinger, confirmed that Jason Floros and Timm van der Gugten would be part of their squad this year.

The Strikers picked up the allrounder Michael Neser from the Brisbane Heat and the batsman Nathan Reardon from the Renegades. The eight teams have until the end of Friday to confirm at least 14 players for the 2012-13 tournament.
