I didn't rate Kemp, but he seemed to be on a bit of a hiding to nothing with the amount of players leaving well before their contracts were up, the culture in the joint must have been horrid. To Cleary's credit he turned it around, with the ommission of the 2009 season which I can only think the loss of Sonny had a massive mental influence on the squad. I guess Cleary instilled a lot more discipline into the joint on and off the track.
I wasn't clapping or happy with what happened at the end. I had a rye smile because I would say I saw it as inevitable. It was like a horror show, you knew something ridiculous was about to happen and it did. The team in general needs to learn a lot. The Taylor coming off his wing incident at the end does it for me. They're just brainless. Absolutely clueless. The very description of stupidity is to remain failings repeatedly without learning from it. Coming off the wing this year and getting caught short in general has cost the club immeasurably this year. I cannot believe they haven't learnt from it, let alone fixed it.
Thats my problem I guess with McClennan. None of the sins of the past are learned from. Is he an overly stubborn man? He can't be blind to the issues. He's been around too long for that.
