It's nothing but a cash-grab from loyal supporters who have stuck solid with memberships through thick and thin.

Wow, I think that's a bit rich. It's just a re-aligning of a bay on each side, I doubt it's as sinister as you're making out.

Either way to suggest it's a "$300 increase" isn't really true, it's more that they've changed where the categories fall and seats that were cheaper last year now have a premium on them.

In my opinion it should just be Sydney teams because it limits the amount of lost opportunities for fans. How many chances do Sydney fans get to go see their team every year? Generally there is the 12 home games and all away games a Sydney clubs plays in Sydney.

The locations of those other teams only get a limited opportunity as it is to see games and in my opinion we shouldn't limit that further. It's a blight that Brisbane only gets 14 games a season and Townsville, Canberra, Gold Coast have 12 games each.

As it stands the cities of Auckland & Melbourne have 12 games each as well. In the case of Melbourne I feel that they can lose a max of one game and New Zealand should be spreading their games all around New Zealand more.

I agree that Sydney teams should re-locate 1 game a year but I don’t think the other teams should be exempt from the rule.

Christchurch is a good example, surely the warriors having 1 game there a year would do more for the area than the roosters or whoever else having the odd game there. They are all likely to be Warriors fans anyways and it means a Sydney club won’t have to give a home game to the warriors.

All the other non Sydney teams could do something similar i.e. Melbourne moves a game to somewhere else in Victoria. They would only lose 1 home game and probably make a good connection with the nearby communities.

You could then have the Sydney teams concentrating on areas close to them or areas with no close rugby league team e.g. Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Darwin, central NSW, Southern NSW and Northern NSW. It would then be a truly re-located home game rather than giving the opposition a home game.

Yeah, got ours too. Do you know if you were wanting to upgrade whether or not you can pick your row/seat allocation or its done on a lottery basis?

Need to get an extra seat so thinking of swapping it.

You can put in a request but whether or not you get exactly where you want is another story.

I'm being charged $810 for the same seats that I paid $510 for last year - that's a $300 increase.

Yes, I have already stated that the Warriors need to move more games around New Zealand.

I would be a fan of that, what I would be against though is the Storm taking games away from Melbourne to out-of-state venues (with the exception of Albury and Hobart but have them limited to one relocated game whereas Sydney teams should be looking at 2 games, 1 game min.

Its a fantastic idea im in my third year. Always said this on the NRL membership feedback survey and looks like the chooks have reacted first. Haven't heard of any other clubs doing it yet but i stand to be corrected

Dragons will start doing a loyalty program with 2013 memberships as well.

Wow can't believe it... A year on my Anz stadium membership is cheaper @ 699 a year and I get any Anz dogs or bunnies games and 2 eels Anz games..

I think that's the crux of the issue and really it should be guided and coordinated from the NRL rather than leaving it up to the clubs - that way there's no conflicting interests.

I mean I find it odd that some Sydney clubs are drawing less than 13,000 to their home games and fans are arguing against losing one home game.

Well here's the news flash - your fans aren't going to the home games they've already got! Perhaps taking a game elsewhere is actually a good thing...

When Manly announced they were taking the rematch with Melbourne to Perth there was serious whinging by Manly fans, they kept it at Brookvale and around 12k turned up. When they did eventually come over 20k turned up in perth for a Manly game. You'd think if fans really cared about not losing home games they would actually get out to them more!

The 20k was largely contributed to by the large contigent of ex-pat Kiwis in Perth wasn't it?

How is there any guarantee that the same crowd would've appeared for the Storm as the away side?

Pins? You need something that tells other spectators how long you've been a member like our Gold +10 seasons membership. You can't see what a pin says unless you're right up close.

FTR our categories are Bronze (2-4 seasons), Silver (5-9), Gold (10-14), Platinum (15-24), Cardinal & Myrtle (25-39), and Churchill (+40 consecutive seasons). Since they reset everything after 2002, no-one is a Platinum member and the club hasn't said what you get when you reach that level.

I get to choose the player to apear on my Carlton membership card and it has different borders and colours as part of their loyalty program. The NRL could do something similar.

Also I found the NRL's prediction of 14% membership growth per year for the next 5 seasons to be interesting because the jump from 22k members in 2012 to a target of 25k in 2013 is pretty much 14%. Based on 14% p.a. growth for the next 5 seasons, we will have 42,000 members in 2017.

That entire lower bowl of ANZ will be filled which will justify Crowe's decision to play out of ANZ rather than Allianz.
