Unlucky result but a fantastic match. Canberra next week is gonna be tough

3 - Laumape - Keeps impressing every game. Gratz on his 1st try.
2 - Mannering - Created alot out wide to give us options. Forget his kick.
1 - Packer - Beast performance nice comeback match.

Hon Mention - Rapira & Johnson.

Yeah was unlucky but im happy with how the team has turned around since round 1. We've unearthed another gem in Laumape, he had a cracker of a game great try and i loved his tackle on inglis.

3 Laumape
2 Mannering
1 Matalino

I thought Hurrell Johnson and Rapira had really good games as well

- 5 mannering, so 1 dimensional, not a leader, poor ball handling skills, abortion of a kick, pathetic attempt of a tackle on G Burgess, too upright, got driven backwards about 5-6m for Burgess to score between his legs

-5 mannering your kidding yourself the ball should never have gone to him for the kick that was Godinet fault not many people would have stopped the Burgess try, what about him carving it up out wide and the rest of his tackles

Beg to differ there, Lowrie missed the initial contact which would have killed most of the momentum. Unlikely 1 person any size was gonna stop Burgess from there.

3. Rapira
2. Laumape
1. Hurrell

Dare I say it, did I see a game plan and structure, I think I did.

Beat by two rather lucky tries, and goal kicking many good signs.

LooLoo needs to find the try line with kicks all too shallow.

Hurrell has facial features that remind me of Hodges.

Johnson is coming good, have faith, he will pass Stacey - there I have said it.

I've never liked the bat back, and that was a classic example of why. I don't quite understand where this team was in the first 3 rounds, but holy shit what a different side it is. Actual attacking depth, passes hitting their mark, it was pretty to watch. I can definitely see the discrepancy Elliot was talking about between training and what was on the paddock.

Vatuvei wasn't great, still had his customary brain explosion, but at least he didn't get injured. Leuluai was still average on attack and is very greedy when in the opp 20.

Laumape is amazing, he has to be in the side somewhere, probably at the expense of Tupou, who is also strangely going well. Hurrell coming good with space to move. Mannering made one decent pass all game and it lead to the Hurrell break, and ultimately the Godinet try.

Thought TL played better than SJ who seems to dance sideways a lot.

3 - Hurrell (showed Farrell how its done, his flick was brilliant)
2 - Leuluai (was in everything, and great in defence)
1 - Laumepe (great running and scored a terrific try)

If we play like that every week (minus the first 15 minutes) we'll be hard to beat.

Did anybody notice how we played half the game with only 1 prop on the field?

3 Mannering
2 Laumape
1 Hurrell

Hon mentions to both halves for giving the centres early ball, and to Mateo for being happy to participate in backline moves. We probably needed to look to bend the line and offload in the last couple sets, though, rather than go lateral.

Big Ben good as usual, thought Rusty looked okay first game back, and Rapira did some really good things on defense.

Thought Lowrie had a bit of a poor game. Missed some vital tackles.

3 Rapira - out played Ben which is hard to do.
2 laumape - what a find
1 Locke - was everywhere and saved a couple of tries. Was unlucky not to score.

Hon mention to Mannering, Manu and Johnson

Mannering aside from that kick and the drop in the ruck is easily playing the best go-forward footy of his career too.

Lowrie was soft as custard on George Burgess' try.

Good to see some clinical set pieces from the Warriors.

MAn of the match overall though, clearly Jared "Bunniesmong" Maxmong.

Not feeling too bad after that loss. Some encouraging signs that brighter days are ahead.
