That's a very simplistic way of looking at it.

Sex with the partner you are in love with is beautiful and intimate. I don't want another man having sex with my girlfriend not because I'm a caveman and she's my property, but because she's the woman I love and knowing she shared that with someone else while she is with me would be awkward and I'm not sure I could cope with it.

Having said that, if two people both consent and are happy to go through it, it's not an issue. I'd never go for it, but if others are into it, it's their life.

I agree. Maybe I do have unrealistic views about love and sex, I dunno. I just feel that if I was in a committed relationship and had to go elsewhere for sex, whether the other party knew or not, someyhing isn't right.
