Bad decision by the NRL to allocate him as the video ref for Sharks matches. Wade Graham dead set knocked that ball on. You absolutely cannot expect players who have played at clubs remain impartial on decisions involving their club. The decision to allocate him is tantamount to Paul Harragon being asked to adjudicate on Knights matches, Wendell Sailor on Dragons matches etc. Just who the hell was the nuffie who is responsible for these allocations? Daniel Anderson?

Shocking decision. You could tell the ball was touched as the rotation of the ball changed.
You would think with ex players in the box they would get it right

Yeah but Mellor also played for Souths as well.

What I want to know is whetehr they are going to sack the video ref who gave the green light to Slater's try.

That's what I said to my dad last night when we discussed the game.

The funny thing though is...I just love it when commentators know in their heart of the blatant screw ups refs make and they try to say in defence "weeeeeeeeeell.........it was a 50/50..ANYWAYS, ..."

Justin Morgan was in the video ref box for us against the Cowboys and we only just gave him his marching orders. He's also very bitter about it so I was a bit concerned about that.

OT, I watched it again and Darius Boyd DID get out of the in-goal in golden point. That decision was very costly in the context of the game, as it gave the Sharks a gift opportunity to set up the field goal in prime position when the game should've at least got to half-time in golden point.

They wont. Rodwell was on radio this morning justifying his decision. It was laughable.

I just think this is one aspect of our game that makes us look very unprofessional, hiring ex-players to be involved with refereeing.

Also on the topic of referees, we must be one of the very few sports in the world that sometimes doesn't use neutral referees in international matches. Even as dominant as our side maybe, I don't like to see matches involving Australia being refereed by an Australian.

Saab, you just highlighted the hypocrisy of a situation that I've had a massive beef with for years.

No, I'm not condoning the behaviour of Ricky Stuart, who went to the extent of questioning the integrity of referees after their loss vs Gold Coast. However, a ref, touch judge or video ref puts in a bad performance and they are supposedly "sacked" for a week and their refs boss comes out in their defence and justifies whatever Barry Shockers they dished up in their refereeing performance, YET at the same time we expect the players or coaches in the midst of a clanger decision to bottle up their emotions and hold on to within an inch of their life and if they don't, they get hit with a fine or furthermore, a suspension of more than a week.

sounds like sour grapes to me....would you guys like a tissue?

It ain't sour grapes. Watch those two incidents again (Wade Graham knock on and the Darius Boyd trapped in goal) and even my late grandmother who was blind in one eye and had 50% vision in the other would tell you that the video ref and ref got those decisions completely wrong.

But regarding the title of the thread and what Saab said, I the same Wade Graham type of incident occurred to the opposite team and get Paul Harragon as the video ref and look at me and tell me with a straight face whether he would've disallowed that try.

Nevermind that the Knights were offside for 3 previous FG attempts and should have been penalized anyway.

4 tries given over the weekend were terrible decisions. So Blatantly wrong that even the most one eyed supporters would probably admit to the errors:

- no obstruction on the Slater try
- Johnson didn't mean to tip the ball to his own advantage in his try
- Idris's pass wasn't 2m forward in the final seconds of the Warriors/GC game
- Graham didn't knock on

And three of those went to the video ref.

The biggest load of crap I've ever read. I'd love to see you say the same thing if the Sharks were in the GF, 18-all with one minute to go and that decision was given against them and they lost the game. Still no silverware I see;-)

Last time i checked this was a forum where fans talk about the game and incidents that took place.
If we all think like you do then there would be no point to this place except for name change in FFB.
