I reckon if they let JMoz go they could squeeze Folau in. Agree that Barba isn't on as much money as he is worth and possibly isn't the solution. They have so many contracts to upgrade. Really hard to tell where the Dogs are as regards salary cap.

Understand that Folau is asking for $950k to $1mil per season range. The Godfather Nick Politis usually gets his man, but they may have to release more than just SKD to fit Izzy or 1 big brown body bag full of cash.

yep, raised this in the Israel Folau / Josh Morris to us thread yesterday. ( after reading it in RLW & hearing others talk about it ) Obviously SBW is no certainty for next year & that would help free up some $, along with Mini's likely retirement & an increase in the cap.

I just hope the cap is being used correctly.. there must be some srsly hanky deals that took place this year, id assumed backended deals to have a genuine crack at the title in 2013 and then pay for it later.. but buying an overpriced Folau doesnt fit in that equation...

And yeah SBW just doing 1 year doesnt seem unreasonable, he gave that impression in his interview, god knows what he is trying to achieve, I think he just likes testing himself and new challenges I guess.

Actually the Dogs frequently fly close to the sun too, and Souths will need to be scrutinised in the next 0-2 years as they will surely need to shed 3-4 quality players due to the increase in price of most of their team.
