The Under 20's players that will figure in our campaign for next year will play NSW Cup next yer to better them for first grade. Rumours suggest we are looking to strengthen the Wentworthville side as well as the first grade side to improve the depth to a better level.

considering we have Sio, Allgood, (hopefully) Morgan, Kelly, Joseph Paulo, Pritchard, Santi, Ualesi, Alvaro and Maybe Pauli joing wenty next year im guessing the team should be much better. would be interesting which areas they are looking to recruit in for wenty? Prop, wing, 5/8?

I am not convinced that Stuart is the ideal coach but we cannot go into another season with a new coach. We have to persist with what he is doing and ride the waves. We will improve next year. Maybe not into the top right however a favourable run with injuries doesn't put it out of the realms of possibilities.

i agree, this constant swapping and changing are killing us.

Who will be playing first grade instead of Allgood and Morgan then?

Unfortunately it will take years for the club to be properly rebuilt. We must take some positives out of the last 3 years. That is, the whole system of recruitment/retention had to be rebuilt to something matching what other top clubs are doing.

It remains to be seen whether Peter Nolan and Co. have turned this around. I am hopeful that we are now recruiting better youngsters that can develop into NRL players.

The other thing I see as a positive is Sticky talking about how Wenty wil be used as the NRL feeder team. What I want to see is the NYC and Wenty teams being coached to Sticky's requirements, so that there is a consistency between the grades and that new players know what is expected in first grade.

Obviously there are massive issues with the NRL team. We cannot allow the current situation with the standard of our players to happen again. Hopefully the players coming next year help instill the required attitude and discipline to compete with other sides.

I honestly think the club as a whole was broken. In order to fix it everything has to be dismantled and rebuilt. I hope Sticky, Pay, Parish and Nolan are the right people to do it.

Couple of things

* mullaney has an ESL deal on the table but remains to be seen whether he takes it or not, obviously we won't be standing in his way if he does

* prior deal is not done yet, he has another offer and we need still shift the deck chairs to fit him in, I'm hoping he shows some patience

* maitua - dogs and Blair - manly are the only ones to have landed deals whilst under contract

Also expect James Tuitahi and Sam Manulealua to move into the second tier squad next year... Jimmy T is a very handy player but only played a handful of games due to injury, score 3 tries in his return game yesterday

Surely this already happens???

You would think, but I'm pretty sure we weren't doing this at the Bulldogs until Hasler arrived. Now both the NYC and NSW Cup teams use the exact same style of play so if anyone moves up they can slot right in. It makes perfect sense, yet it has taken some clubs so long to implement this for some reason

Mullaney is the worst fullback that I have ever seen play for us. Makes Scott Mahon look like Billy Slater.

Take the deal Jake. Please.

Mullaney is the worst fullback that I have ever seen play for us. Makes Scott Mahon look like Billy Slater.

IMO he is just about the worst out of our entire bunch of reserve graders that are parading around in first grade. While some of the others are lazy defenders, Mullaney has zero interest in putting his body on the line for the team. While all the other shit our team has produced in 2013 has frustrated me, watching Mullaney 'defend' is one of the few things that has actually made my blood boil.

Also expect James Tuitahi and Sam Manulealua to move into the second tier squad next year... Jimmy T is a very handy player but only played a handful of games due to injury, score 3 tries in his return game yesterday

Good news for Wenty and I'm glad that the club is taking the right steps to restructure our NSW Cup squad.

On prior I hope he stays patient too. Could be a handy signing

Mannah, Mossop, Fui, jnr Paulo, Lussik and Terepo are all ahead of Allgood IMO.

If we can sign another outside back like fergo or vidot then off to nsw cup for Morgan.
