And as I said before, it makes those who judged Ricky's character on the words of a gossip mongerer look like even bigger dick heads.

I think many on here including myself judged Ricky on "if he were to leave then he is a ..." ,but most acknowledged there may not be much truth behind the articles but we really don't know.

Considering the crap the club has been through, oh course most of us would think the worse - we haven't had much to celebrate over the last few years.

Gee this thread is absolutely nuts, no quotes from Ricky no sources only from the mole who is useless. Have look at Canberra they aren't travelling much better than us. I seriously doubt he is going anywhere.

This could be the worst thread I've come across since joining this forum.

I was lucky enough to have dinner with someone at te club tonight who assured me Ricky will be on board next year. He will NOT be going to the raiders.
Now unless the latest few tweets are of something that has come on board relatively recently (tonight) and he has done it without the clubs knowledge.

He has told the club he will stay.

I had dinner with Sticky. He didn't mention anything about the coaching gig. We had chicken.

And as I said before I do not need him flirting with the idea of possibly joining Canberra and not nipping it in the bud immediately to make an opinion of his character. He didn't talk to Phil Gould for years despite Gould assisting him with his only premiership but instead he blamed him for his demise at the Roosters. He then was not on speaking terms with the board at Cronulla and publicly detested their boss, Irvine. In addition he was ousted by the ARL for attacking a ref after the WC he lost. I have had this opinion of him for about 10 years. I personally know people he knows. However I am the dickhead because I have an opinion based on evidence not just from a tweet from some mole.

PS . Most importantly we are still last and have gone backwards but hey it's a rebuilding phase at $850k per year.

Seriously you are still going.
Show me quotes from Ricky where he says he is considering the raiders role, that's right there is none!
You obviously don't know him or the people that know him to well because as I said last night the work he has done for this club behind the scenes this year is much much more then any coach has within the last 10 years. But hey your right he should have won the comp this year, he definetly had the squad to do so.

If you can honestly not see the way Ricky has rebuilt for next year and years to come, well go book an appointment at OPSM.

Are you telling me he has changed? I hope he has and I hope he jags us a premiership however why can't I have an opinion on his coaching ability? For a moment there I thought he could but I don't think he has got it. Anyway it's a forum made for discussion not a communist convention where everybody is forced to agree. You have your opinion which you are entitled to. I have mine. We both love the Eels. Time will tell. I'm off for Father's Day. Regardless have a good day. :)

Avenger no point in blaming RS for being our coach or the reported $$$ he's on. He was offered a job and accepted. Even if he is considering going, who could blame him. Would you work in such an environment?? Given the squad he has inherited and the mess he's left with, I think he's doing a decent job. There is a huge difference in talent between the top 5 or 6 teams, and the rest of the field. Next year thanks to RS we close the gap a little, hopefully turning our fortunes around. Be patient mate. As joely01 has stated, RS is doing a lot of good things off the field. One of those things I have heard, is he wants to increase the numbers in the junior league. IIRC, I think there is approximately 500 more kids than last year playing in the eels district.
